Summary

This 2024 Ford Taurus Ambiente offers a high-value entry into the modern GCC executive sedan market, featuring a low mileage of under 20,000 km that represents significant savings over a new showroom model. The Absolute Black exterior is a perennially strong resale choice in the region, ensuring better value retention when it comes time to trade in. As a 2024 model, it benefits from the latest generation's sharp aesthetics and improved cabin insulation, which is a major advantage for long Dubai to Abu Dhabi commutes. The 2.0L EcoBoost engine provides a refined balance of power and efficiency tailored for regional highway speeds. For a GCC buyer, this specific listing is a smart opportunity to own a current-generation flagship sedan that remains under its early-life peak reliability window.

This Car vs Other 2024 Ford Tauruses

With just 19,915 km on the odometer, this Taurus sits well below the typical GCC annual average of 20,000–25,000 km, making it a low-mileage standout for its year. The black-on-black configuration is one of the most sought-after combinations in the UAE and Saudi markets, providing a distinct advantage in future resale liquidity. While many 2024 models in the market have already seen heavy daily rental or fleet use, this example retains the crisp interior feel and mechanical tightness of a personal commuter.

AMBIENTE vs Lower Trims

The Ambiente serves as the gateway to the Taurus range but surprisingly includes the massive 13.2-inch horizontal touchscreen and 8-inch digital cluster as standard equipment. Unlike entry-level sedans in previous years, this trim adds premium features like a standard sunroof and wireless charging that GCC buyers often expect as minimum requirements. It maintains the same potent 2.0L turbocharged powertrain found in the Titanium, ensuring you don't sacrifice performance for value.

Taurus vs Segment Rivals

The Taurus leads segment rivals like the Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima in raw interior screen real estate and trunk volume, offering 520 litres of usable cargo space. Its longer wheelbase provides superior rear legroom, making it a more comfortable choice for family road trips across the emirates compared to more compact mid-size competitors. The Ford's 8-speed automatic transmission also offers a more traditional and engaging shift feel than the CVTs found in many of its Japanese counterparts.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0L EcoBoost typically averages around 7.2 L/100km on GCC highways, though this may rise in stop-start city traffic in Riyadh or Dubai. Maintenance is straightforward with a massive authorized service network via Al Tayer and Mohamed Yousuf Naghi, with typical service intervals occurring every 10,000 km. The Taurus has shown strong value retention in the GCC, typically holding approximately 60% of its value after three years, outperforming many American-branded rivals in the region.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L EcoBoost engine delivers a verified 232 hp and 388 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in approximately 8.1 seconds. This torque-heavy delivery is particularly useful for confident overtaking on high-speed arterial roads like Sheikh Zayed Road. The 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smooth cruising, ensuring the engine stays in its most efficient power band during long-distance drives across the GCC borders.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed to combat the extreme GCC summer with a powerful air conditioning system and dedicated rear vents for all five passengers. High-quality fabric seats in the Ambiente trim stay cooler to the touch than leather after being parked in the sun, a practical benefit in 45°C temperatures. Technology is centered around the SYNC 4 system, which offers seamless wireless smartphone integration and a crystal-clear rear-view camera for easy parking in tight urban spaces.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the Ambiente trim includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) which is vital for maintaining safety during high-temperature highway runs. It also features cruise control and rear parking sensors to reduce driver fatigue and prevent low-speed collisions. The robust chassis and Hill Start Assist provide additional security when navigating the varied terrain and multi-level parking structures common across the region.

The bottom line

Perfect for the professional or family buyer seeking a nearly-new flagship sedan with the latest tech and a low-mileage advantage in the GCC's most popular resale color.
