Summary

This 2024 Ford Taurus Ambiente offers a rare opportunity to own a nearly-new flagship sedan with mileage well below the GCC annual average. Finished in a high-resale white, this model bridges the gap between executive comfort and daily efficiency better than most of its rivals. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is engineered for the region's extreme heat with an air conditioning system that remains a benchmark in its class. For the modern professional or young family, it provides a sophisticated presence on the road without the maintenance overhead of a luxury badge.

This Car vs Other 2024 Taurus

With just 19,915 km, this Taurus sits significantly below the typical 25,000 km annual average for the UAE market, representing a 'lightly used' status. The exterior color is the most sought-after shade for resale in the Middle East, ensuring stronger value retention and better heat reflection during peak summer months compared to darker alternatives.

AMBIENTE vs Lower Trims

As the entry point for the all-new generation, the Ambiente trim surprisingly includes high-tier features like the 13.2-inch central touchscreen and the 8-inch digital cluster as standard. Unlike base models of the past, this trim also features the full Ford Co-Pilot360 safety suite, ensuring you don't sacrifice driver assistance for value.

Taurus vs Segment Rivals

The Taurus leads the Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima in rear legroom, offering 1,020 mm of space that feels closer to a limousine than a mid-size sedan. Its 2.0L EcoBoost engine delivers significantly more torque (388 Nm) than naturally aspirated rivals, making highway overtaking at speed much more effortless on roads like the E11.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a strong suit with an official rating of 15.3 km/L, though real-world GCC city driving typically sees around 9.5 km/L. Service intervals are set at 10,000 km or every 6 months through an extensive network of authorized centers like Al Tayer and Premier Motors across the UAE. The Taurus has historically shown excellent value retention, typically saving 60% of its value after three years in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine produces 240 hp, allowing for a smooth 0-100 km/h sprint in just 8.1 seconds and a top speed of 218 km/h. Three selectable drive modes—Eco, Normal, and Sport—allow you to adjust the steering and throttle response for either fuel-efficient city commuting or more spirited highway drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for GCC family logistics, featuring a massive 520-liter trunk that easily accommodates multiple large suitcases. Standard acoustic glass and extensive sound-deadening materials create a remarkably quiet environment even at 120 km/h, while the rear climate vents ensure all passengers stay cool during the 45°C summer months.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive on this trim, featuring six airbags and the Ford Co-Pilot360 platform. This include Collision Mitigation, Lane Keeping Aid, and Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), which are essential for navigating fast-moving multi-lane traffic. The vehicle also comes standard with a high-definition rear-view camera and rear parking sensors to make urban maneuvering easier.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a buyer seeking a modern, tech-forward executive sedan that is still under its initial factory warranty period. It offers the space of a premium car with the low running costs of a 4-cylinder, making it a highly logical purchase in the current UAE market.
