Summary

This 2024 Ford Territory Trend offers a perfect balance of modern design and practical functionality, making it a highly attractive choice for families and urban commuters across the GCC. With mileage that is exceptionally low for a region where long-distance highway travel is the norm, this SUV represents a nearly-new vehicle experience without the initial showroom depreciation. The vibrant red exterior not only stands out on the road but also holds a unique appeal in a market often dominated by neutral tones, while the GCC regional specification ensures it is fully prepared for the local climate. Its 1.8L turbocharged engine provides a smooth, efficient drive that handles the daily commute in Dubai or Riyadh with ease. For a buyer looking for a contemporary crossover that bridges the gap between value and technology, this specific listing is a standout opportunity that prioritizes safety and cabin space. The Ford Territory has quickly established itself as a segment leader in the UAE due to its impressive tech suite that typically costs significantly more in European rivals.

This Car vs Other 2024 Ford Territorys

When comparing this specific unit to other 2024 Ford Territory listings in the GCC market, the first major advantage is the mileage. While the average annual distance covered by drivers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia ranges between 20,000 to 25,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the regional average for its age, suggesting a life spent on shorter commutes or as a secondary family car. The GCC specification is a critical factor here, as it ensures the cooling systems, radiator, and air conditioning are optimized for extreme desert heat, unlike imported American or Chinese-spec models that may struggle during peak summer months. The exterior paint remains in excellent condition, reflecting the careful ownership typical of a low-mileage vehicle. Choosing a GCC-spec 2024 model also means you benefit from the remainder of the manufacturer’s regional warranty, providing peace of mind that is often missing from non-local versions. This combination of low usage and local compliance makes it one of the most reliable pre-owned options currently available in the crossover segment.

TREND vs Lower Trims

Moving up to the TREND trim level introduces a suite of features that significantly elevate the daily driving experience compared to the base Ambiente model. One of the most noticeable upgrades is the inclusion of the large dual-screen infotainment system, which provides a high-definition interface for navigation and smartphone integration that GCC buyers increasingly demand. You also get enhanced interior materials and dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, which is essential for maintaining individual comfort levels when temperatures soar above 40°C. The TREND trim also adds key convenience features like a rear-view camera and parking sensors, making it much easier to navigate tight parking spots in busy malls across the region. Furthermore, this trim includes upgraded LED lighting and stylish alloy wheels that give the vehicle a more premium road presence. For those who value a balance between cost-effectiveness and modern tech, the TREND trim provides the most essential luxury and safety upgrades without the steeper price tag of the Titanium variant.

Ford Territory vs Segment Rivals

The Ford Territory competes in a crowded segment against rivals like the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Mazda CX-5, yet it carves out a niche by offering superior interior technology and cabin volume for the price. While many competitors in this class rely on naturally aspirated engines, the 1.8L EcoBoost engine in the Ford provides better low-end torque, which is particularly useful for merging onto fast-moving GCC highways like the E11. In terms of cabin space, it offers some of the best rear legroom in its class, easily accommodating three adults in the back for long-distance trips between Emirates. The boot capacity is another area where the Territory leads, providing more usable space for groceries, strollers, or weekend luggage than many of its Japanese counterparts. Additionally, the Ford infotainment system is often cited as being more intuitive and responsive than the systems found in entry-level versions of its rivals. For a GCC family, the combination of American-influenced design, localized cooling systems, and class-leading interior tech makes the Ford a more modern-feeling choice compared to the aging platforms of some competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Owning a Ford Territory in the GCC is characterized by predictable running costs and a strong support network. The 1.8L turbocharged engine is designed for efficiency, delivering impressive fuel economy during steady-state highway cruising between cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, while remaining manageable in the heavy stop-start traffic of Riyadh or Doha. It runs comfortably on standard 95-octane petrol, which is widely available and affordable across all GCC states. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and Ford’s extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait ensures that maintenance is never a logistical challenge. In terms of resale, the Ford Territory has shown strong value retention in the local market due to its high demand as a stylish, family-oriented SUV. While it may not reach the cult-like resale heights of a Toyota, it depreciates much slower than European crossovers in the same price bracket, typically losing about 12-15% in the first few years. Given its GCC spec and modern feature list, this car is expected to remain highly liquid in the used market for years to come.

Performance & Capability

Under the hood, the 1.8L EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine produces a healthy 180 hp and 320 Nm of torque, providing plenty of pep for city driving and confident overtaking on the highway. The automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness, ensuring that power delivery is linear and comfortable for all passengers. While this is a front-wheel-drive crossover designed primarily for urban and highway use, its ground clearance is generous enough to handle gravel tracks, speed bumps, and the occasional sandy patch found near local parks or beach access points. The 0-100 km/h performance is respectable for its segment, but the real strength lies in its mid-range acceleration, which feels effortless thanks to the turbocharger. The suspension is calibrated for comfort, soaking up road imperfections common on older city streets while remaining stable at the higher speeds permitted on regional motorways. Whether you are navigating the morning school run or embarking on a cross-border road trip, the performance is refined and dependable, perfectly suited to the diverse driving environments found across the GCC.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of the Ford Territory is designed with the GCC’s harsh climate and long-distance driving habits in mind. The cabin is remarkably spacious for a 5-seater, with a flat rear floor that ensures middle-seat passengers are just as comfortable as those by the windows. The air conditioning system is a standout feature, engineered to cool the large cabin quickly even after the car has been parked in direct sunlight. Rear air vents are standard, ensuring that children or guests in the back remain comfortable during the hottest months of the year. The TREND trim features high-quality upholstery and an ergonomic dashboard layout dominated by the large digital interface, which controls everything from media to vehicle settings with ease. Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels are kept low, creating a quiet sanctuary from the bustle of city traffic. With multiple USB ports and clever storage solutions throughout the cabin, the interior is as practical as it is comfortable, making it a true home-away-from-home for busy families.

Safety

Safety is a paramount consideration for the Ford Territory, which boasts a 5-Star NCAP-style rating in various international markets. This TREND trim comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of active safety technologies that are particularly beneficial on the fast-paced roads of the GCC. Features like Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) are invaluable when navigating the multi-lane highways of Dubai, providing an extra set of eyes during lane changes. It also includes Electronic Stability Control and Traction Control, which provide essential grip on surfaces made slick by rain or fine desert sand. Inside, the vehicle is protected by an array of front and side airbags, and the ISOFIX mounting points make it a secure choice for families with small children. The inclusion of Rear Parking Sensors and a High-Definition Camera as standard helps prevent low-speed accidents in crowded residential areas. Ford has ensured that the safety tech is integrated seamlessly, providing a protective envelope that doesn't feel intrusive but is always ready to intervene if needed.

The bottom line

This 2024 Ford Territory TREND is a smart acquisition for a buyer who wants a tech-forward, GCC-ready family SUV with low mileage and a striking presence. It offers the space and safety of a much larger vehicle with the efficiency of a compact crossover, making it the ideal choice for modern living in the UAE.
