Summary

This 2024 Jetour X90 Plus in LUXURY trim represents a strong opportunity for GCC families seeking a modern, tech-focused seven-seater without the premium price tag of established rivals. With just over 60,000 km, its mileage is typical for a highway-driven SUV in the region, and its black exterior remains one of the most sought-after colors for resale in the local market. The model stands out by offering a spacious, leather-appointed interior and advanced driver aids that are usually optional in this segment. For the GCC owner, the robust dual-zone cooling system and ventilated front seats are essential upgrades that make summer driving across the Emirates significantly more comfortable. It is a well-maintained, high-spec example ready for both city commutes and long cross-border road trips.

This Car vs Other 2024 X90 Pluses

Covering 60,045 km in its first year, this vehicle sits at the higher end of the average annual range for the GCC, indicating consistent highway use which is often better for mechanical longevity than short-trip city driving. The black paintwork is a strategic choice for the local market, offering excellent resale liquidity compared to niche colors. While many 2024 models on the market are base specs, this Luxury trim provides the full suite of technology and comfort features that GCC buyers prioritize.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The LUXURY trim adds significant value over the Comfort variant, most notably through the inclusion of ventilated and heated front seats, which are critical for the GCC's extreme summer heat. It also upgrades the cabin experience with a 360-degree panoramic camera system, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a larger panoramic sunroof. Furthermore, this trim introduces advanced safety tech such as Blind Spot Monitoring and Lane Departure Warning, providing essential assistance on fast-moving UAE highways.

X90 Plus vs Segment Rivals

The X90 Plus competes directly with the MG RX8 and GAC GS8, leading the segment in pure technology-per-dirham with its expansive dual-screen dashboard. Its 2,850 mm wheelbase provides superior middle-row legroom compared to the MG, making it a more practical choice for families with older children. While rivals often stick to more traditional layouts, the Jetour's modern ACTECO turbocharged engine offers a refined power delivery better suited for smooth cruising on the E11 or E311.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption for the 1.6T engine averages approximately 8.1 L/100km on combined cycles, though GCC owners should expect 12-14 L/100km in stop-start city traffic with full air conditioning. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km or 6 months at authorized centers like Elite Group in the UAE, ensuring the 10-year engine warranty remains valid. While Chinese brands face higher initial depreciation than Japanese rivals, the X90 Plus retains value well in the 7-seat segment due to high demand for affordable family transport across the GCC.

Performance & Capability

The 1.6L turbocharged engine produces a verified 197 hp and 290 Nm of torque, delivered through a smooth 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. This powertrain provides confident overtaking ability at highway speeds and handles a full load of seven passengers without significant lag. With a ground clearance of 210 mm, it is well-equipped for gravel paths and weekend camping trips, though its front-wheel-drive setup is optimized for on-road comfort and fuel efficiency during long-distance travel.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the GCC climate, featuring a high-output air conditioning system with dedicated vents for all three rows and heat-insulated glass. The seven-seat layout is highly flexible, with a flat-folding third row that expands cargo space to over 1,000 liters for airport runs. Premium touches include multi-color ambient lighting, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, and acoustic insulation that keeps the interior remarkably quiet even at cruising speeds.

Safety

Safety is a priority in the Luxury trim, which comes standard with six airbags and a comprehensive suite of active systems including Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, and Brake Assist. The 360-degree high-definition camera system and front/rear parking sensors make navigating tight mall parking structures in Dubai or Riyadh effortless. Additionally, the inclusion of ISOFIX anchors in the second row ensures secure travel for families with young children.

The bottom line

This Jetour X90 Plus Luxury is the ideal choice for a growing family that wants a feature-rich, high-spec SUV with the peace of mind of a regional warranty. It offers the best balance of modern tech and seating capacity currently available in the 2024 pre-owned market.
