Summary

This 2024 Land Rover Defender 110 HSE P400 is an exceptional find, combining the high-output 3.0L straight-six engine with the premium HSE specification that GCC buyers actively seek. With just over 21,000 km, this white SUV offers a significant saving over new while remaining well within its prime service life, and the white exterior ensures the strongest possible resale value in the local market. The P400 powertrain is widely considered the 'sweet spot' for the region, providing the necessary torque for desert excursions and effortless highway cruising between Emirates. For those demanding a vehicle that transitions seamlessly from executive city transport to rugged weekend overlander, this GCC-spec Defender represents one of the most versatile opportunities currently available.

This Car vs Other 2024 Defender 110s

At 21,198 km, this vehicle’s mileage is notably lower than the GCC annual average of 25,000 km, making it a highly attractive prospect for those prioritizing mechanical longevity. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the UAE, as it offers the best heat reflection during summer and consistently commands the highest demand in the secondary market. Buying this 2024 model allows you to skip the initial steep depreciation of a new vehicle while still benefiting from the latest Pivi Pro updates and manufacturer warranty.

HSE P400 vs Lower Trims

The HSE trim is a significant step up from the SE, adding high-demand GCC features such as ventilated 14-way memory front seats and premium Windsor leather upholstery. It also upgrades the audio experience to the 700W Meridian Surround Sound system and includes the advanced Terrain Response 2 system as standard. Unlike the P300, the P400 engine utilizes a 48V mild-hybrid system and an electric supercharger to virtually eliminate turbo lag, providing much smoother power delivery in heavy Dubai traffic.

Defender 110 vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 offer durability, the Defender leads with a far more sophisticated unibody architecture that provides superior on-road refinement and high-speed stability. Its 900 mm wading depth and adjustable air suspension allow it to clear obstacles that would challenge a Mercedes-Benz GLE or BMW X5. Additionally, the P400's 550 Nm of torque provides a more athletic driving character than many traditionally aspirated V8 competitors in the same segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.0L mild-hybrid powertrain averages approximately 10.7 L/100km on a combined cycle, though real-world figures in GCC stop-start traffic typically range between 13–15 L/100km. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is fully supported by the extensive Al Tayer and Premier Motors service network with specialized parts availability across all Emirates. The Defender 110 currently enjoys some of the strongest value retention in the luxury SUV segment, typically losing only 12–15% in its first two years compared to the 20% average for its European rivals.

Performance & Capability

The P400 engine delivers 400 hp and 550 Nm of torque, enabling a swift 0-100 km/h sprint of 6.1 seconds and a top speed of 209 km/h. Its off-road prowess is anchored by a twin-speed transfer box with low-range gearing and electronic air suspension that can raise the vehicle to a maximum ground clearance of 291 mm. This capability is perfectly suited for UAE desert driving, providing the lift needed to navigate deep sand dunes and the cooling capacity to handle peak summer temperatures.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the HSE trim focuses on luxury with a panoramic sunroof that brightens the cabin and a three-zone climate control system that ensures rear passengers stay cool during long desert drives. The 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen is intuitive and supports wireless smartphone integration, while the cooled center console box keeps beverages chilled during cross-country trips. The cabin is heavily insulated, offering a quiet, premium environment that effectively masks road noise even when fitted with all-terrain tires.

Safety

This Defender 110 is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including a 3D Surround Camera with Wade Sensing, which is invaluable for both tight urban parking and navigating unpredictable off-road terrain. Standard ADAS features include Adaptive Cruise Control for long highway stretches, Lane Keep Assist, and Blind Spot Assist to help manage fast-moving highway traffic. The vehicle also features six airbags and a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating, providing peace of mind for family use.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking the perfect balance of low-mileage reliability and the high-spec HSE trim, this P400 Defender 110 is the definitive choice for both the city and the sands.
