Summary

This 2024 Land Rover Defender 110 HSE P400 is an exceptional find, combining the high-output 400 hp powertrain with the premium HSE trim that local buyers prioritize. With mileage under 30,000 km, it sits well below the typical GCC annual average for a vehicle of this age, ensuring it remains in peak mechanical condition for its next owner. The Silver exterior is one of the most practical and high-demand colors in the region, offering both superior heat reflection and excellent resale stability. This Defender strikes the perfect balance for the UAE lifestyle, offering refined luxury for executive city commuting and class-leading hardware for weekend desert adventures. It represents a significant opportunity to own a modern icon that has already moved past the steepest part of its initial depreciation curve.

This Car vs Other 2024 Defender 110s

With just 28,873 km on the odometer, this Defender has seen considerably less use than the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typical for the GCC market. The Silver paint is a strategic choice for local buyers, as it holds its value significantly better than niche colors and manages the intense summer heat more effectively. Choosing a 2024 model provides the peace of mind of a near-new vehicle while benefiting from the initial value adjustment seen in the first eighteen months.

HSE P400 vs Lower Trims

The HSE trim adds essential GCC luxury features over the S and SE variants, most notably the ventilated front seats which are a necessity during the peak summer months. It also upgrades the cabin with premium Windsor leather and the higher-fidelity Meridian Sound System, providing a more refined environment for long-distance highway drives. Mechanically, the P400 powertrain delivers a substantial 100 hp increase over the base P300, providing the effortless overtaking power desired on multi-lane highways like the E11.

Defender 110 vs Segment Rivals

The Defender 110 leads rivals like the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE in genuine off-road capability, featuring a 900 mm wading depth and adjustable air suspension that those road-biased SUVs cannot match. While competitors focus on pavement comfort, the Defender offers a 90-liter fuel tank that provides superior range for cross-country trips to Oman or the Liwa Oasis. It occupies a unique space in the market, offering the prestige of a European luxury SUV with the rugged durability of a dedicated 4x4.

Running Costs & Resale

The P400 mild-hybrid powertrain averages approximately 12.8 L/100km in combined driving, balancing performance with improved efficiency in Dubai's stop-start traffic. Land Rover maintains a strong authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with typical service intervals at 26,000 km or 12 months. As a GCC-spec model, it retains a significant value premium over non-regional imports, typically depreciating at a more stable rate of 12-15% annually compared to 20% or more for American or European spec equivalents.

Performance & Capability

The 3.0L turbocharged inline-six engine produces a verified 400 hp, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 6.1 seconds which is impressive for a vehicle of this size. Its Electronic Air Suspension can raise the body to provide 291 mm of ground clearance, making it as capable in the soft dunes of the Empty Quarter as it is comfortable on the highway. For those with lifestyle requirements, the 3,500 kg braked towing capacity is class-leading, easily handling large boats or horse trailers.

Comfort & Cabin

The HSE cabin is a masterclass in functional luxury, featuring 14-way heated and cooled electric memory front seats designed for maximum comfort in the GCC climate. The 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen is intuitive and stays clear even in direct sunlight, while the three-zone climate control ensures rear passengers remain cool during desert excursions. Acoustic glass helps isolate the cabin from wind noise during high-speed highway cruising between Emirates, creating a serene environment.

Safety

Standard safety tech on this HSE trim includes a 3D Surround Camera with wade sensing, which is invaluable for both tight urban parking and navigating unpredictable off-road terrain. For the high-speed multi-lane highways of the GCC, the Blind Spot Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control provide a crucial layer of active protection. This suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is standard on the HSE, ensuring a safer experience for family road trips.

The bottom line

This Defender 110 HSE P400 is the ideal choice for a buyer seeking the ultimate all-rounder in the UAE; it offers low-mileage reliability, the most desirable regional specs, and a color that ensures strong resale value.
