Summary

This 2024 Land Rover Defender 90 SE P300 offers a compelling balance of modern luxury and legendary off-road capability in the desirable short-wheelbase three-door configuration. While its mileage is higher than the typical annual average for a one-year-old vehicle in the GCC, it presents a significant value opportunity for buyers seeking the current-generation aesthetic and technology at a more accessible entry point. The Fuji White exterior is a top-tier choice for the region, ensuring maximum heat reflection during summer months and securing strong resale demand across the Emirates. As a GCC-spec model, it is fully optimized for local conditions with reinforced cooling and local dealer support, making it a rugged yet refined daily driver for both city commutes and weekend desert escapes.

This Car vs Other 2024 Defender 90s

With 77,057 km, this vehicle has been driven more extensively than the 15,000–25,000 km typically seen on one-year-old GCC cars, likely reflecting long-distance highway travel between emirates. This higher usage is offset by the 2024 model year status, giving you the latest Pivi Pro infotainment and safety updates. The White exterior is the most practical and high-demand color in the regional market, facilitating easier resale compared to darker tones.

SE P300 vs Lower Trims

The SE trim provides a meaningful technology jump over the base S model, most notably adding the premium 400W Meridian Sound System and upgraded 12-way semi-powered heated seats. It also features 19-inch Style 6010 wheels and the Interactive Driver Display as standard, which are highly sought after by GCC buyers for their premium cabin feel. Unlike base variants, the SE includes Blind Spot Assist and a 3D Surround Camera, essential for navigating tight urban parking in Dubai or Riyadh.

Defender 90 vs Segment Rivals

The Defender 90 offers a level of on-road refinement that rivals like the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and Ford Bronco cannot match, thanks to its sophisticated unibody architecture and advanced independent suspension. While competitors focus on modularity, the Land Rover leads in cabin tech and daily comfort while maintaining a 900 mm wading depth that outperforms almost everything in its class. Its compact 3-door footprint makes it significantly easier to park in congested GCC city centers than its 110 or 130 counterparts.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P300 4-cylinder engine averages approximately 11.5 L/100km, offering a more efficient alternative to the V8 models in stop-start city traffic. Service intervals are typically every 13,000 km or 12 months, with a robust authorized service network available through Al Tayer in the UAE and Al Naghi in Saudi Arabia. The Defender maintains some of the strongest value retention in the European luxury SUV segment, particularly in GCC-spec white, which remains a staple of the local used market.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine delivers 300 hp, allowing the Defender 90 to reach 0-100 km/h in approximately 7.1 seconds, providing plenty of punch for highway overtaking. Its off-road geometry is world-class, featuring a 291 mm ground clearance and a twin-speed transfer box with low-range gearing for technical sand driving. The Terrain Response system allows the driver to instantly recalibrate the AWD system for sand, rocks, or mud at the touch of a button.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is a masterclass in 'rugged luxury,' featuring Grained Leather seat facings and a dual-zone climate control system engineered to withstand 50°C summer peaks. Standard acoustic glass and thick insulation provide a quiet sanctuary from exterior heat and highway noise, even during long drives across the border. The 10-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen is intuitive and supports wireless smartphone integration, ensuring you stay connected across the GCC.

Safety

Standard safety features on this SE trim include a 3D Surround Camera system that provides a virtual bird's-eye view, vital for both off-road spotting and city parking. It comes equipped with a full suite of ADAS technology, including Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control for long desert highways, and Emergency Braking. The robust unibody construction is complemented by six airbags and Wade Sensing technology, which alerts the driver as water levels approach the vehicle's maximum limit.

The bottom line

This 2024 Defender 90 is ideal for the lifestyle buyer who wants the latest Land Rover design and tech at a highway-mileage discount, backed by the peace of mind of a GCC-spec white exterior.
