Summary

This 2024 Range Rover Autobiography P530 offers a compelling opportunity to own the current-generation flagship with just 30,000 km on the clock, placing it well below the average mileage for a two-year-old vehicle in the GCC. Finished in Gold, a color that holds consistent appeal for luxury buyers in the region, this Autobiography trim elevates the experience with superior semi-aniline leather and a world-class Meridian Signature sound system. As a Korean-spec import, it provides a high-feature entry point into the new L460 generation at a competitive value compared to local dealer-supplied units. For a GCC buyer, the most important consideration is the V8 powertrain's effortless performance during long-distance highway cruises between emirates, paired with the sophisticated Terrain Response 2 system for versatile capability.

This Car vs Other 2024 Range Rovers

With only 30,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC market. While many 2024 models are only just entering the secondary market, this unit stands out as a low-use example that preserves the 'new car' feel in the cabin. The Gold exterior is a distinctive and prestigious choice that avoids the commonality of white or black while remaining a respected resale shade in the luxury segment.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY P530 vs Lower Trims

The Autobiography trim significantly outclasses the SE and HSE models by including the 1,600W Meridian Signature Sound System and 24-way heated, cooled, and massage front seats as standard. Buyers also benefit from the Executive Class rear seating package, featuring power-deployable center consoles and enhanced passenger comfort controls that are optional on lower trims. Furthermore, this P530 variant utilizes the BMW-sourced 4.4L V8, providing a substantial power leap over the six-cylinder P400 models.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

The Range Rover leads rivals like the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS in pure off-road heritage, offering a superior wading depth of 900 mm and a sophisticated all-wheel steering system that gives it a tighter turning circle than many smaller SUVs. While the Cadillac Escalade offers more sheer volume, the Range Rover's cabin materials and noise insulation provide a more refined, 'sanctuary-like' experience during high-speed highway travel. Its 90-litre fuel tank ensures fewer stops on long cross-border drives compared to more thirsty competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.4L V8 engine delivers a refined balance of power and efficiency, averaging approximately 11.5 L/100km in combined driving, though GCC city traffic will see higher consumption. As a Korean-spec vehicle, it offers a lower initial purchase price, which helps offset the typical 15-18% annual depreciation seen in European luxury SUVs. While parts are widely shared with GCC models, buyers should note that manufacturer warranty may not transfer directly to local distributors, though independent specialist service centers are abundant across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Performance & Capability

The P530 powertrain delivers a massive 750 Nm of torque, allowing this full-size SUV to hit 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, ensuring effortless overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. The standard electronic air suspension with Adaptive Dynamics monitors the road 500 times per second to provide a 'magic carpet' ride, even when navigating sand or gravel tracks during weekend escapes. With six selectable terrain modes, the vehicle is as capable in a desert wadi as it is outside a five-star hotel.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is a masterclass in luxury, featuring ultra-premium semi-aniline leather and a four-zone climate control system designed to maintain comfort even in 45°C summer heat. Both front and rear passengers enjoy ventilated seats, and the acoustic laminated glass significantly reduces wind and road noise for a serene environment. The 13.1-inch curved Pivi Pro touchscreen remains one of the most intuitive interfaces in the segment, complemented by a dedicated rear-seat tablet for climate and entertainment management.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with the full ADAS suite standard, including Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist, which is invaluable for long desert highway stretches. The 3D Surround Camera provides a virtual overhead view to make parking this large SUV effortless in tight city spaces. Key active systems like Blind Spot Assist and Rear Traffic Monitor provide essential protection against fast-moving traffic common on multi-lane GCC roads.

The bottom line

This is an ideal opportunity for a luxury buyer looking for the prestige and performance of the latest Range Rover V8 at a more accessible price point. Its low mileage and high Autobiography specification make it a standout choice for those who prioritize cabin opulence and effortless highway power.
