Summary

This 2024 Land Rover Range Rover HSE P530 represents a top-tier luxury choice for GCC buyers, combining the smooth power of a BMW-sourced V8 with the presence of a white exterior—a high-demand color for regional resale. With 62,000 km, this vehicle has been driven more than a city commuter but remains mechanically fresh for a modern flagship SUV. The P530 powertrain is widely considered the sweet spot in the lineup, offering significantly more effortless highway overtaking than the 6-cylinder models. For a buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, the key consideration is the balance of ultimate refinement and the genuine capability to handle occasional desert road trips or weekend excursions to the Northern Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2024 Range Rovers

At 62,000 km, this Range Rover has seen more road time than average for its age, suggesting frequent highway use between emirates rather than stop-start city idling. In the GCC market, the white exterior is the strongest possible choice for value retention, as it resists heat and remains the most searched-for color on the used market. While the mileage is higher than a 'garage queen,' the 2024 model year benefit includes the latest Pivi Pro software updates and refined interior materials characteristic of the L460 generation.

HSE P530 vs Lower Trims

Choosing the HSE P530 over the base SE trim upgrades the experience with standard Semi-Aniline leather, a Head-up Display, and the Meridian 3D Surround Sound system. Crucially for the GCC climate, the HSE adds more advanced seat ventilation and multi-zone climate controls that maintain cabin comfort even in 45°C heat. The P530 badge also denotes the 4.4-liter V8 engine, which offers 128 hp more than the entry-level P400, providing the effortless torque required for a vehicle of this stature.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

The Range Rover leads competitors like the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS with its superior 900 mm wading depth and Terrain Response 2 system, which is optimized for sand and gravel surfaces common in the region. While rivals focus on on-road sportiness, the Range Rover offers a 'floating' ride quality via its electronic air suspension that is unmatched on long desert highway stretches. Its minimalist design and iconic silhouette also command a unique level of prestige in GCC business and social circles.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P530 V8 typically ranges between 11.5L and 12.5L/100km, which is efficient for a heavy SUV but reflects the power on tap. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a wide authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts availability and warranty support. Range Rovers in this trim generally depreciate by 15-20% in their first two years, but the P530 V8 remains the most liquid variant on the used market, often holding value better than the plug-in hybrid or smaller engine versions.

Performance & Capability

The 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 523 hp (marketed as 530 PS), propelling this SUV from 0-100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. This performance is vital for merging onto fast-moving GCC highways where speed limits are high and overtaking power is a safety feature. Beyond speed, the vehicle features all-wheel steering, which significantly reduces the turning circle, making this large SUV surprisingly easy to maneuver in tight mall parking lots or narrow urban streets.

Comfort & Cabin

The 5-seat cabin is a sanctuary of quiet, featuring acoustic laminated glass that blocks out wind noise and the harsh GCC sun. Front and rear passengers enjoy ventilated seats, essential for maintaining comfort during the summer months. The 13.1-inch curved Pivi Pro touchscreen is the center of the cabin's tech, offering wireless connectivity and a highly intuitive interface that remains responsive even in high temperatures.

Safety

Standard safety features on this HSE trim include a 360° 3D surround camera, which is indispensable for navigating high curbs and obstacles. The full ADAS suite provides adaptive cruise control with steering assist, lane keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring, all of which reduce driver fatigue on long-distance drives across the Arabian Peninsula. The vehicle's advanced stability control is also specifically tuned to handle the transition from tarmac to loose surfaces like sand or gravel.

The bottom line

This 2024 Range Rover HSE P530 is for the buyer who wants the flagship V8 experience in the region's most popular color, offering a perfect blend of modern tech and proven performance.
