Summary

This 2024 Range Rover Sport SV Edition One is the most powerful and exclusive performance SUV Land Rover has ever produced, and with 21,000 km, it sits perfectly within the average annual mileage for a premium vehicle in the GCC. Finished in Black, the most sought-after resale color in the UAE and wider region, this special edition maintains a commanding presence and strong residual value. It distinguishes itself from every other SUV on the road through its track-focused engineering, including the revolutionary 6D Dynamics suspension that keeps the car level during hard cornering. For the GCC buyer, this represents the ultimate fusion of supercar-rivaling speed and the legendary luxury expected from the Range Rover nameplate. Whether navigating the high-speed multi-lane highways of Dubai or heading on cross-border drives to Riyadh, its road authority is unmatched.

This Car vs Other 2024 Range Rover Sports

At 21,000 km, this vehicle aligns with the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual usage common in the GCC, suggesting it has been driven as a primary vehicle but well-maintained. The Black exterior is a massive advantage in the local market, consistently ranking as a top-tier color for resale across all seven Emirates. This specific listing offers the chance to own the production-limited Edition One, which is often difficult to find in such a high-demand color and configuration.

SV EDITION ONE vs Lower Trims

The SV Edition One is a significant leap over the Autobiography trim, swapping the standard engine for a BMW-sourced 635 hp V8 and adding the world-first 6D Dynamics air suspension. Inside, it features Body and Soul Seats (BASS) that vibrate in sync with the 29-speaker Meridian Signature Sound System, a feature GCC buyers find highly desirable. You also get exclusive carbon fiber exterior detailing and SV-specific performance seats that are not available on lower models.

Range Rover Sport vs Segment Rivals

The SV Edition One competes directly with the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT and the BMW XM, offering a unique blend of off-road DNA and track performance. While rivals focus heavily on on-road dynamics, the Range Rover Sport retains superior wading depth and off-road geometry for weekend desert excursions. It leads with a more refined, minimalist cabin aesthetic that provides better insulation from the intense GCC summer heat compared to its German competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

As a performance-focused hybrid, it uses a 4.4L V8 mild-hybrid system to optimize fuel use in stop-start city traffic, though Super 98 fuel is strictly required. Land Rover maintains an extensive authorized service network through Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors across the UAE, with intervals typically occurring every 13,000 km. While high-performance European SUVs generally see a 15% annual depreciation, the Edition One's limited production status helps it retain value better than standard Sport trims in the local secondary market.

Performance & Capability

This is the fastest Range Rover ever made, launching from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, a figure that puts many dedicated sports cars to shame. The 4.4L twin-turbo V8 delivers a massive 750 Nm of torque (rising to 800 Nm in Dynamic Launch Mode), providing effortless overtaking power on the E11 or E311 highways. Despite its track tuning, the intelligent Terrain Response 2 system ensures it can handle sand and gravel surfaces with the same confidence it shows on asphalt.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC climate, featuring four-zone climate control and SV-specific performance seats with cooling and massage functions standard. The Edition One includes acoustic glass and enhanced thermal insulation to keep the interior chilled even when external temperatures exceed 45°C. With 647 liters of boot space and a five-seat layout, it remains a practical choice for luxury family road trips across the GCC.

Safety

Safety is paramount with a full suite of ADAS features, including Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist and a 3D Surround Camera that is invaluable for navigating tight parking in Downtown Dubai. The 6D Dynamics suspension isn't just for performance; it enhances emergency stability by actively countering pitch and roll. Standard blind-spot monitoring and rear traffic monitor provide critical protection on fast-moving, multi-lane regional highways.

The bottom line

This is the definitive choice for the GCC enthusiast who wants the absolute flagship of the Range Rover Sport lineup in the most resale-friendly color and a rare special-edition trim.
