Summary

This 2024 Range Rover Sport SV Edition One represents the absolute peak of Land Rover's performance engineering, offering a rare opportunity to own a high-demand limited-run flagship. With its black-on-black aesthetic, this example holds excellent resale appeal in the GCC market, where the SV's exclusive styling and formidable V8 presence are highly valued. Moving beyond the standard Sport, this Edition One introduces supercar-level dynamics and a sophisticated suspension system that excels on both fast Abu Dhabi highways and winding mountain passes. For the GCC buyer, this provides the ultimate blend of executive presence and raw performance, ensuring it stands out in any Dubai or Riyadh showroom. As a European spec vehicle, it offers a distinct equipment list that serious collectors often seek over standard regional offerings.

This Car vs Other 2024 Range Rover Sports

With just 24,111 km, this SV Edition One has been driven slightly above the typical GCC luxury average for its first year but remains in prime mechanical condition. The black exterior is the most sought-after resale color in the UAE and Saudi markets, providing a significant advantage when it comes time to trade. Compared to standard 2024 models, this Edition One's rarity and SV-specific hardware make it a much stronger long-term value proposition.

SV EDITION ONE vs Lower Trims

The SV Edition One is a transformative upgrade over the Dynamic HSE, replacing the standard engine with a BMW-sourced 4.4L Twin-Turbo V8 producing 635 hp. It features the world-first 6D Dynamics hydraulic interlinked suspension, which eliminates the need for anti-roll bars to provide near-flat cornering. Inside, it adds Body and Soul Seats (BASS) with tactile audio technology and exclusive carbon fiber trim finishers that are not available on lower specifications.

Range Rover Sport vs Segment Rivals

The Range Rover Sport SV competes directly with the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT and the Lamborghini Urus, leading the segment with its unique 6D Dynamics suspension that offers superior ride comfort without sacrificing track-like handling. Its 90-litre fuel tank provides a longer cruising range for cross-emirate drives compared to some European rivals. Furthermore, the Range Rover's heritage and interior refinement offer a level of executive poise that leans more towards luxury than its purely track-focused competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this V8 mild-hybrid typically averages between 11.7 and 12.5 L/100km, though this will increase in heavy GCC city traffic. As a European spec vehicle, it is important to note that the manufacturer warranty may require local activation or a third-party contract for coverage at UAE agencies like Al Tayer. While Land Rover products generally see higher depreciation than Japanese luxury brands, the SV Edition One's limited production status helps it retain value better than standard Sport trims across the GCC.

Performance & Capability

Boasting a 0–100 km/h time of just 3.8 seconds, this is the fastest Range Rover ever produced, capable of reaching a top speed of 290 km/h. The sophisticated All-Wheel Drive system and active rear differential ensure maximum traction on both sand-dusted highways and gravel tracks. Even with its road-focused SV Mode, it maintains legitimate capability with adjustable ride heights that can raise for clearing obstacles or lower for high-speed stability.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is optimized for the intense GCC summer, featuring high-performance ventilated seats and a powerful multi-zone climate control system that ensures rapid cooling. The 29-speaker Meridian Signature Sound System provides an immersive audio experience, while the acoustic glass helps insulate the interior from external heat and road noise. The unique SV Performance seats are designed to keep occupants stable during high-G maneuvers without compromising long-distance comfort.

Safety

This SV Edition One is equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist and a 360° 3D Surround Camera, which is essential for navigating narrow urban parking and busy highways. Standard safety features include Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Blind Spot Assist to provide peace of mind during fast-moving traffic. The high-performance Brembo braking system ensures world-class stopping power, a critical safety factor for a vehicle of this weight and speed.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who demands the absolute fastest and most exclusive SUV in the region, this 2024 SV Edition One is the definitive choice, combining limited-edition rarity with unmatched V8 performance.
