Summary

This 2024 Range Rover Sport SV Edition One represents the absolute peak of the model's performance hierarchy, featuring a BMW-sourced V8 that delivers a massive 626 hp. With only 24,116 km over two years of use, it sits well below the typical 40,000–50,000 km expected for a vehicle of this age in the GCC, making it a highly desirable low-mileage example. The black-on-black aesthetic is a perennial favorite in the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring the strongest possible resale value for years to come. As a limited-run Edition One, it offers a level of exclusivity and hardware—including the 6D Dynamics suspension—that standard Sport models simply cannot match. For a GCC buyer, this is the rarest way to combine supercar acceleration with Land Rover's legendary off-road capability.

This Car vs Other 2024 Range Rover Sports

With 24,116 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the 20,000–25,000 km annual average common for luxury SUVs in the UAE and wider GCC. The European regional spec is paired with a timeless black exterior, which remains the most liquid and high-demand color for high-performance SUVs in the local used market. Finding an SV Edition One with this mileage provides a distinct mechanical advantage, as these high-strung performance engines benefit greatly from lower total heat cycles.

SV EDITION ONE vs Lower Trims

The SV Edition One is a transformative upgrade over the Dynamic HSE and Autobiography trims, replacing the standard air suspension with the revolutionary 6D Dynamics hydraulic interlinked system that eliminates body roll. Inside, it adds 'Body and Soul' (BASS) haptic front seats that pulse with the audio system, alongside a unique SV carbon fiber exterior pack and a dedicated 'SV Mode' that recalibrates the steering, gearbox, and exhaust for maximum attack. It also features a larger 90-litre fuel tank compared to some lower hybrid variants, which is essential for long-distance cruising between Emirates.

Range Rover Sport vs Segment Rivals

The SV Edition One directly challenges the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT and the Lamborghini Urus, leading the segment with a 900 mm wading depth that neither rival can match. Its 4.4L V8 offers a more refined, executive character during city commutes compared to the raw aggression of the Urus, while still delivering 626 hp for effortless highway overtaking. The dual-purpose nature of the Terrain Response 2 system ensures it remains a true off-roader, unlike its more road-biased German and Italian competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P635 powertrain typically averages 12.5 L/100km, though this will increase in stop-start Dubai or Riyadh traffic where the twin-turbo V8 is most active. As a limited-run special edition, the SV Edition One follows a much shallower depreciation curve than standard Range Rover Sport trims, often retaining a significant premium due to its production scarcity. Authorized service centers are widely available across all major GCC cities, with standard intervals recommended every 12,000 km to maintain the sophisticated 48V mild-hybrid system.

Performance & Capability

A 0-100 km/h time of just 3.8 seconds places this SUV in the territory of dedicated sports cars, powered by a 626 hp 4.4L twin-turbo V8. The specialized 6D Dynamics suspension allows the vehicle to maintain a near-level stance during extreme cornering, providing immense confidence on winding mountain roads like Jebel Jais. Despite the performance focus, it retains a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity and a class-leading 900 mm wading depth, ensuring it is as capable in a desert wadi as it is on the track.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a showcase of technical luxury, featuring SV-exclusive performance seats upholstered in high-grip textiles and the immersive 29-speaker Meridian Signature Sound System. Four-zone climate control and powerful seat ventilation are standard, essential for maintaining interior comfort during the peak GCC summer heat. The acoustic laminated glass provides exceptional insulation from both external temperature and high-speed wind noise, creating a serene environment for long drives across the Saudi desert or to Oman.

Safety

This trim includes the full suite of advanced driver assistance systems, featuring a 360° 3D Surround Camera and ClearSight interior rearview mirror for unobstructed visibility even with a full cargo load. The Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist is particularly useful for the long, straight highway stretches between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, while the high-performance braking system—often featuring carbon-ceramic discs on this edition—provides massive stopping power to handle the vehicle's significant V8 output.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own the most powerful Range Rover Sport ever built in its exclusive launch edition, offering a low-mileage alternative to a new order with a superior GCC resale color profile.
