Summary

This 2024 GLB250 4MATIC offers a nearly-new ownership experience with exceptionally low mileage for the GCC market. Presented in a high-resale black finish, this SUV stands out for its rare 7-seat configuration in a compact footprint, making it a perfect upgrade for growing families. While it carries American specifications, its modern mild-hybrid 2.0L powertrain is well-suited for the long highway commutes between Emirates, balancing luxury with better fuel efficiency than many larger V6 rivals. This is a sharp opportunity to secure a current-model-year Mercedes-Benz that looks and feels fresh off the showroom floor.

This Car vs Other 2024 GLB250s

With just 4,468 km on the odometer, this GLB250 sits well below the typical 20,000 km annual average for used cars in the GCC. The black exterior is a perennial favorite for resale in the local market, and the addition of the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system provides superior stability during occasional rainy spells or on gravel paths compared to the front-wheel-drive base models.

4MATIC vs Lower Trims

Choosing the 4MATIC trim over the standard front-wheel-drive version adds significant value for GCC buyers, particularly in terms of traction and specialized drive modes. Beyond the drivetrain, this trim level includes the refreshed 10.25-inch dual-screen MBUX interface and a Nappa leather-wrapped steering wheel as standard, features that command a premium in the pre-owned luxury market.

GLB250 vs Segment Rivals

The GLB250 leads rivals like the BMW X1 and Audi Q3 by offering a third row of seats, a rare utility in the compact luxury segment. While competitors focus on a two-row layout, the GLB's boxy design provides better vertical cargo room and headroom, making it more practical for family road trips to Oman or weekend outings.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L turbocharged engine is designed for 95 RON fuel and delivers efficient highway cruising, though GCC stop-start traffic will see consumption closer to 9.5L/100km. As an American spec vehicle, it offers a lower entry price compared to GCC-spec equivalents, though buyers should ensure insurance and service compatibility at specialized local workshops. Service intervals for this model typically fall every 15,000 km, with a widespread network of independent European specialists across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Performance & Capability

Delivering 224 hp and 350 Nm of torque, the GLB250 provides effortless highway overtaking and a respectable top speed of 236 km/h. The 4MATIC system and 8-speed dual-clutch transmission work together to ensure smooth power delivery even in high-temperature conditions. While not an off-roader, its elevated ground clearance makes it capable of handling sandy roadside parking and rougher wadi tracks comfortably.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around a versatile 7-seat layout with sliding second-row seats that allow you to prioritize legroom or cargo space. For the GCC climate, the dual-zone automatic climate control is robust, ensuring the rear rows stay cool even in the peak of summer. The interior is finished with acoustic glass, providing a quiet sanctuary from highway wind noise during long-distance travel.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive, featuring Active Brake Assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a rearview camera to assist in tight city parking. The 4MATIC system includes specialized stability control that is particularly effective on the UAE's high-speed motorways, while multiple airbags provide protection for all three rows of passengers.

The bottom line

For a buyer seeking a 2024 luxury family SUV with near-zero mileage at a competitive price, this GLB250 is the smartest way to get Mercedes-Benz prestige and 7-seat utility.
