Nissan Armada SL +

Highlights

• 3,856 kg braked towing capacity
• Naturally aspirated V8 engine
• Intelligent Around View Monitor standard

Summary

This 2024 Nissan Armada SL offers a compelling alternative to regional counterparts, featuring the proven Endurance V8 powerplant that is a favorite for long-distance GCC cruising. As a two-year-old vehicle, it represents a significant saving over new showroom prices while retaining the modern 12.3-inch infotainment and Safety Shield 360 suite. The white exterior is the most practical choice for the region, ensuring maximum heat reflection and strong resale demand across the UAE and beyond. With its traditional body-on-frame construction and eight-seat capacity, this SL trim balances rugged capability with premium Bose audio and leather comfort, making it a robust family workhorse for both city commutes and weekend escapes.

This Car vs Other 2024 Armadas

In the GCC used market, a two-year-old Armada typically sees higher highway mileage, but this American-spec example offers a high-feature SL configuration often preferred by those seeking better value than local entry-level trims. The white paint is a strategic advantage for local resale, consistently ranking as the most sought-after color in the region due to its performance in high temperatures.

SL vs Lower Trims

The SL trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the base SV by adding a 13-speaker Bose premium audio system and leather-appointed seating for all three rows. Essential for the GCC, it includes the Intelligent Around View Monitor for 360-degree parking visibility and a power moonroof, features that are highly valued in the local secondary market.

Armada vs Segment Rivals

The Armada stands its ground against the Chevrolet Tahoe and Toyota Sequoia by offering a standard naturally aspirated V8, avoiding the complexity of newer turbocharged rivals. It leads in pure towing confidence with a verified 3,856 kg capacity and a 98-liter fuel tank that is perfectly suited for long-distance drives across the Emirates or to neighboring GCC states.

Running Costs & Resale

While the 5.6L V8 is built for durability, real-world fuel consumption averages around 15.4 L/100km, reflecting its role as a heavy-duty hauler. Nissan maintains one of the most extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts are readily available. As a Japanese-engineered SUV, it enjoys a slower depreciation rate than European luxury competitors, typically losing only 8-10% of its value annually in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The 390-horsepower Endurance V8 delivers smooth, linear power that makes highway overtaking effortless, even when fully loaded with eight passengers. Its body-on-frame architecture provides the structural rigidity needed for towing large boats or trailers, supported by an auto-leveling rear suspension that maintains a flat stance. This rear-wheel-drive configuration is optimized for highway stability and long-term mechanical simplicity.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed to combat the GCC summer with a powerful tri-zone climate control system and dedicated vents for both the second and third rows. The SL trim features a large 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, ensuring seamless connectivity during long commutes. The eight-seat layout is genuinely usable for families, with a power liftgate and one-touch folding seats making cargo management simple.

Safety

Safety is managed by the Nissan Safety Shield 360, which includes Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert—critical features for navigating fast-moving multi-lane highways in Dubai and Riyadh. The Intelligent Around View Monitor provides a bird's-eye perspective to simplify parking this large SUV, while Intelligent Cruise Control helps reduce driver fatigue on long desert stretches.

The bottom line

This 2024 Armada SL is the ideal choice for a buyer who needs maximum seating and V8 towing power without the premium price tag of a new local-spec model.
