Summary

This 2024 Nissan Patrol LE Platinum City represents the top-tier luxury of the legendary Y62 generation, offering a massive power advantage with its 400 hp V8 engine. While its mileage is high for a two-year-old vehicle, this model is built for the exact heavy highway usage common in the GCC, and its white exterior ensures the highest possible resale demand. As the Platinum City trim, it features every premium comfort including ventilated seats and a 13-speaker Bose audio system, making it a superior family choice over lower grades. For a GCC buyer, this is a chance to own a fully-loaded 'Hero of All Terrains' that remains the benchmark for cabin space and desert-conquering reliability.

This Car vs Other 2024 Patrols

At 90,000 km, this vehicle has been used more extensively than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the UAE. However, in the GCC market, high mileage on a Patrol often indicates reliable long-distance highway cruising between emirates rather than harsh city stop-start wear. The white exterior is a strategic advantage here, as it is the most sought-after color for heat reflection and resale value in the region.

LE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The LE Platinum City is the flagship of the range, adding significant luxury over the Titanium trim. It features exclusive 20-inch machine-cut alloy wheels, a 13-speaker Bose premium sound system, and a 360-degree Around View Monitor with moving object detection. Buyers also benefit from standard front-seat ventilation and the City bumper, which provides a more sophisticated aesthetic for urban environments compared to the off-road biased base trims.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads rivals like the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and Ford Expedition in terms of pure V8 character and interior width. Its massive 140-litre fuel tank provides a significantly longer touring range for cross-border GCC trips than many competitors. Additionally, the Patrol's Hydraulic Body Motion Control (HBMC) system provides a flatter, more comfortable ride on paved highways without sacrificing its legendary dune-climbing capability.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.6L V8 typically averages between 14 and 17 L/100km, though this can reach 20 L/100km in heavy Dubai or Riyadh summer traffic with maximum air conditioning. Service intervals are standardized at 10,000 km across the extensive Arabian Automobiles and Al Masaood networks, making maintenance straightforward across the UAE. The Patrol remains a resale heavyweight, typically retaining 60-70% of its value over three years in the GCC market.

Performance & Capability

The 5.6-litre V8 produces a verified 400 hp and 560 Nm of torque, enabling effortless overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. Its heavy-duty All-Wheel Drive system includes a low-range transfer case and selectable modes for sand, rock, and snow, making it a true dual-purpose vehicle for executive commuting and weekend desert expeditions. With a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, it easily handles large boats or horse trailers.

Comfort & Cabin

This 8-seater configuration offers genuine adult-sized space in all three rows, a rarity in the full-size SUV segment. The cabin is specifically engineered for the 45 degree plus GCC summers, featuring a powerful multi-zone climate control system and a factory-fitted refrigerator (cool box) in the centre console. Premium quilted leather and acoustic glass ensure the interior remains a quiet sanctuary even at high cruising speeds.

Safety

Standard safety tech on this trim includes Intelligent Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Intervention systems which are invaluable for long desert highway stretches. The 360-degree camera system and front/rear parking sensors are essential for navigating this large SUV in tight city parking. Six airbags and a high-strength body-on-frame construction provide robust protection for large families.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for a family or executive buyer who wants the maximum possible spec in a 2024 model. While the mileage is higher than average, the Patrol's reputation for 400,000 km durability makes this a smart, value-driven entry into the top-tier of GCC motoring.
