Summary

This 2024 Nissan Patrol XE represents a strategic buy in the GCC market, offering the latest model year refinement with mileage that is well within the expected range for a regional workhorse. Finished in white, the most preferred resale color in the Middle East, it ensures maximum value retention for its next owner. As a V6-powered SUV, it strikes a practical balance between the legendary presence of the Patrol and manageable daily running costs. This trim is ideal for those who prioritize the vehicle's robust mechanical DNA and massive 8-seater capacity without the premium of higher luxury features. For a GCC buyer, the peace of mind provided by Nissan’s unmatched service network across the Emirates and beyond makes this a highly reliable long-term investment.

This Car vs Other 2024 Patrols

With 54,458 km on the odometer, this Patrol has been driven slightly more than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual GCC average, yet it remains well-positioned as a late-model example still fresh in its lifecycle. The white exterior is a significant advantage in the local market, as it is the fastest-selling color and reflects heat better than darker alternatives. Choosing this 2024 model provides the benefit of the final evolutionary updates for this generation, ensuring all modern mechanical refinements are present.

XE vs Lower Trims

As the foundational trim in the Patrol lineup, the XE serves as the entry point into the range, meaning there are no trims below it. It is designed for buyers who value the Patrol's legendary body-on-frame durability and off-road hardware above all else. While it foregoes the leather and 360-degree cameras found in SE and LE trims, it retains the essential 8-seat configuration and powerful dual-zone climate control that are mandatory for GCC family life.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Nissan Patrol leads its primary rival, the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, in total fuel capacity with its massive 140-litre tank, a critical feature for long-distance desert crossings and cross-border highway drives. It also offers a wider cabin feel, providing more generous shoulder room for three adults in the second row compared to the Ford Expedition. For GCC owners, the Patrol's air conditioning system is widely regarded as one of the most effective in the extreme summer heat.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 engine typically averages between 11.8 and 13.5 L/100km in mixed GCC driving, though heavy summer air conditioning and stop-start traffic in cities like Dubai or Riyadh can increase these figures. Nissan maintains one of the most extensive and affordable authorized service networks across all GCC countries, ensuring parts are always available. Historically, the Patrol retains roughly 65-70% of its value after three years, outperforming almost all European SUV rivals in the regional used market.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 275 hp V6 engine delivering 394 Nm of torque, this Patrol is engineered for reliable highway cruising and capable desert exploration. The selectable 4WD system includes dedicated modes for Sand, Snow, and Rock, supported by a low-range transfer case for serious off-road recovery. With a substantial 273 mm of ground clearance, it easily manages deep sand dunes and rugged terrain, while the 7-speed automatic transmission ensures smooth power delivery during high-speed highway overtaking.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is configured to comfortably seat eight passengers, featuring high-quality cloth upholstery that stays cooler than leather during the intense Middle Eastern summer. The air conditioning system is specifically tuned for the region, with powerful rear cooling vents that ensure consistent temperatures even in the third row. A cooled center console box is a standout standard feature, keeping beverages chilled during long desert road trips or daily commutes.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes a comprehensive airbag system with front, side, and curtain coverage to protect all three rows of passengers. For highway safety, it features cruise control and electronic stability programs, while off-road security is bolstered by Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control. The reinforced body-on-frame construction provides a robust safety cell, making it a trusted choice for family transportation across the Emirates.

The bottom line

For the pragmatic buyer who wants the status and capability of a 2024 Patrol with the best possible resale color, this V6 XE is a reliable, high-utility choice that will hold its value for years to come.
