Summary

This 2022 Nissan Patrol LE Platinum City represents the absolute top-tier of the Y62 generation, pairing the high-output V8 engine with the most prestigious trim available. With a mileage that reflects consistent use within regional norms, it remains a robust choice for families requiring 8-seat versatility and serious off-road hardware. The white exterior is the highest-demand color in the GCC used market, ensuring maximum sunlight reflection and strong future resale value. As the Platinum City edition, it bridges the gap between a rugged desert-conqueror and a luxury executive cruiser. For a GCC owner, the unmatched strength of the Nissan service network ensures peace of mind across every border.

This Car vs Other 2022 Patrols

With approximately 94,500 km, this vehicle’s mileage is typical for a long-distance GCC cruiser of this age, where highway commutes often exceed global averages. Unlike V6 models or lower V8 trims, this LE Platinum City retains the highest value retention due to its superior engine and equipment level. The white exterior is widely considered the smartest investment for UAE resale, maintaining its appeal far longer than darker shades in the local market.

LE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The LE Platinum City is the flagship of the range, adding 22-inch alloy wheels and a more sophisticated Hydraulic Body Motion Control system compared to the LE Titanium. Inside, it upgrades to genuine quilted leather upholstery with a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat including massage functions. It also features a superior 360-degree camera system with enhanced views and additional wood-grain interior accents not found on lower trims.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads rivals like the Toyota Land Cruiser and GMC Yukon with its massive 140-litre dual-tank system, specifically designed for long-range desert expeditions and cross-country GCC hauls. While the Land Cruiser focuses on a more utilitarian feel, the Patrol LE Platinum City offers a plusher, more road-refined suspension setup that manages the 400 hp V8 with exceptional comfort. Its 8-seat configuration is also more spacious in the third row than many American competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.6L V8 typically averages between 14 and 17 L/100km in mixed GCC driving, though heavy summer air-conditioning use can push city figures higher. Service intervals are standard for the region at 10,000 km or six months, with an extensive network of authorized centers available in every major GCC city. Historically, the Patrol LE Platinum City enjoys some of the slowest depreciation in the UAE, typically retaining 60–70% of its value after three years.

Performance & Capability

The 5.6-litre V8 engine delivers a verified 400 hp and 560 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 6.6 seconds—a remarkable feat for a 2.8-ton SUV. Its selectable 4WD system includes specialized modes for sand, snow, and rock, making it as capable on the dunes of the Empty Quarter as it is stable on the E11 highway. The advanced hydraulic suspension minimizes body roll during cornering, providing a car-like handling experience despite its commanding ground clearance.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the Gulf heat, featuring a powerful tri-zone climate control system and ventilated front seats as standard. The 8-seat layout is finished in premium quilted leather, with dual rear entertainment screens to keep passengers occupied on long drives between emirates. Acoustic glass and extensive insulation ensure the V8’s roar remains a distant hum, creating a quiet environment for the Bose premium audio system.

Safety

This trim includes the full Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite, featuring Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning, which are essential for fast-moving GCC highway traffic. It is equipped with a comprehensive airbag system covering all three rows and a 360-degree Around View Monitor that makes parking this large SUV effortless. Blind Spot Warning and Lane Intervention systems provide active protection during multi-lane city driving.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the ultimate combination of V8 power and maximum GCC luxury, this white LE Platinum City is a turnkey solution with a proven reliability record and the best resale profile in its class.
