Summary

This 2024 Land Cruiser represents the ultimate choice for GCC buyers who prioritize long-range desert capability and mechanical durability. The GR Sport trim is specifically engineered for professional-grade off-roading, featuring specialized suspension and triple locking differentials that outperform every other variant in the sand. Finished in white, it occupies the most secure resale position in the UAE and wider GCC market, where this specific color consistently commands a premium. The 3.3L twin-turbo diesel provides massive torque for towing and highway overtaking while offering a significant fuel range advantage for cross-border trips. For the driver who demands a vehicle that feels just as at home in the Liwa dunes as it does in Downtown Dubai, this is the definitive specification.

This Car vs Other 2024 Land Cruisers

At two years old, this Land Cruiser occupies a prime position in the GCC used market where typical annual mileage reaches 25,000 km. Its white exterior is the strongest resale color across the region, ensuring maximum value retention and easier liquidity when it is time to upgrade. The 3.3L diesel powertrain is a strategic alternative to the common 3.5L petrol, offering vastly superior range for long-distance driving between Emirates.

GR SPORT vs Lower Trims

The GR Sport adds serious hardware that lower trims like the GXR and VXR lack, most notably the Electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (E-KDSS) for improved wheel articulation. It is the only variant to feature three lockable differentials (front, center, and rear) as standard, paired with 18-inch forged wheels designed for rugged terrain. The interior is distinguished by GR-exclusive red and black upholstery and carbon-style trim, creating a cockpit geared toward performance.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Nissan Patrol, the Land Cruiser leads with its body-on-frame durability and the massive 700 Nm of torque delivered by its twin-turbo diesel engine. The inclusion of factory triple-locking differentials gives it a mechanical edge in deep sand over road-biased luxury SUVs. Its 110-litre fuel capacity and diesel efficiency make it the preferred choice for those regularly driving routes like Dubai to Riyadh or Salalah.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 3.3L diesel typically averages 10.8 L/100km, a significant improvement over petrol V6 and V8 alternatives in GCC city traffic. With a combined tank capacity of 110 liters, it is capable of reaching over 1,200 km on a single fill during highway cruising. Resale value remains among the highest in the UAE, with Land Cruisers historically retaining approximately 77% of their value after three years of ownership. Toyota's authorized service network is the most extensive in the GCC, ensuring parts are available in every major city from Kuwait to Muscat.

Performance & Capability

The 3.3L V6 twin-turbo diesel produces 302 hp and a massive 700 Nm of torque, enabling effortless towing and high-speed highway stability. Its off-road prowess is unmatched in the segment, featuring 235mm of ground clearance and a 700mm wading depth for crossing wadis. The specialized E-KDSS suspension electronically adjusts the stabilizer bars to provide maximum articulation off-road and flat handling on the tarmac. With Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control, the vehicle manages traction autonomously across sand, rock, and mud.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the GR Sport balances its rugged exterior with a 7-seat layout featuring ventilated front and rear seats, essential for the extreme GCC summer. The multi-zone climate control is engineered to cool the large cabin quickly, even after being parked in direct sunlight. Technology highlights include a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a premium JBL audio system, and a factory-integrated cool box in the center console for refreshments on long desert drives.

Safety

The Land Cruiser comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist which are invaluable for long highway stretches across the Emirates. Blind-spot monitoring and a 360-degree camera system with a 'multi-terrain monitor' allow you to see obstacles directly under the vehicle's floor while off-roading. Ten airbags are standard, contributing to its reputation as one of the safest full-size SUVs for family transport in the region.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to secure a GCC-spec diesel GR Sport in the market's most popular color, perfectly suited for an enthusiast who values range, torque, and professional off-road hardware.
