Summary

This 2024 Prado represents the bold new 250-series generation, combining retro-inspired styling with modern turbocharged efficiency. In the GCC, the Adventure trim is highly sought after for its unique balance of luxury features and hardened off-road hardware. With moderate mileage for its first year, this example is ideally suited for a buyer looking to skip the new-car waiting list while maintaining the benefits of a fresh model. Its black exterior is a premier resale choice in the UAE and wider region, ensuring long-term value retention. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it provides full peace of mind regarding local cooling systems and comprehensive service support.

This Car vs Other 2024 Prados

With 64,473 km, this vehicle’s mileage is higher than a typical city-only car but reflects the frequent highway use common for long-distance GCC commuting. For a 2024 model, this use case suggests the vehicle has been regularly maintained to meet the demands of high-speed regional travel. The black exterior is a top-tier resale color in the Middle East, often commanding faster interest and better price stability than brighter shades.

ADVENTURE vs Lower Trims

The Adventure trim elevates the Prado experience with premium features not standard on the TXL, including ventilated front seats and a factory-fitted refrigerator in the center console for summer comfort. It also adds significant off-road enhancements like the Multi-Terrain Select system and a 360-degree panoramic view monitor. Inside, the 12.3-inch digital cockpit and upgraded 10-speaker audio system provide a far more modern cabin environment than entry-level variants.

Prado vs Segment Rivals

The Prado leads rivals like the Ford Everest and Mitsubishi Montero Sport in terms of regional trust and parts availability across the GCC. Its 110-liter fuel tank is specifically engineered for long-distance desert crossings, offering a significantly higher range between refills than most road-biased crossovers. While competitors focus on car-like monocoque frames, the Prado retains a rugged body-on-frame build that handles extreme desert temperatures and rough terrain with far greater durability.

Running Costs & Resale

The new 2.4L turbo engine delivers a combined fuel efficiency of approximately 10.6 km/L, offering a more responsive drive in GCC city traffic compared to the older V6 models. As a Toyota, this vehicle benefits from the most extensive authorized service network in the region, spanning the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and beyond. Historically, the Prado remains one of the slowest-depreciating vehicles in the GCC, typically retaining a high percentage of its value even after three years of ownership.

Performance & Capability

The 2.4L turbocharged engine produces a stout 267 hp and 430 Nm of torque, ensuring effortless highway overtaking and strong low-end pull for sand dunes. With a 700mm wading depth and a dedicated low-range transfer case, it is fully equipped for weekend expeditions in the Hajar Mountains or Liwa. The new TNGA-F platform improves on-road stability, making the long highway drives between Emirates significantly more refined and comfortable than previous generations.

Comfort & Cabin

This seven-seater configuration features a versatile cabin designed for large families, including dedicated rear AC vents that are essential for the GCC summer. The Adventure trim includes ventilated seats across the front row, providing immediate relief during high-temperature months. High-quality acoustic glass and improved insulation help keep the cabin quiet and cool, even during midday desert drives.

Safety

Standard on the Adventure trim is the latest Toyota Safety Sense suite, featuring Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist, which are invaluable for reducing fatigue on long desert highways. The 360-degree camera system provides a bird's-eye view, making it easier to navigate tight supermarket parking bays in Dubai or check for obstacles on rocky trails. Additional safety is provided by a comprehensive 10-airbag system and Blind Spot Monitoring for safe lane changes on fast-moving multi-lane roads.

The bottom line

This 2024 Adventure is the ideal choice for a GCC resident who wants the latest off-road technology and a high-spec cabin without waiting for dealership allocation.
