Summary

This 2025 Kia Sportage EX offers an exceptional opportunity for GCC buyers, showing just delivery mileage on a modern, high-spec platform. Finished in White, the region's most resilient resale color, it pairs the punchy 180 hp 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with a smooth automatic transmission for effortless highway overtaking. The Chinese regional specification provides a significant value advantage over local agency units while maintaining the same mechanical DNA trusted across the Emirates. For families or professionals, this SUV combines the latest cabin tech with a spacious interior that easily accommodates daily Dubai commutes or weekend trips to Oman.

This Car vs Other 2025 Sportages

With only 8 km on the odometer, this Sportage is effectively a new vehicle, offering a massive mileage advantage over the typical 20,000 km found on used year-one SUVs in the UAE. The crisp White exterior is the highest-demand color for local resale, ensuring better value retention compared to darker tones. This specific unit represents the sweet spot of 2025 models, delivering the newest generation's styling and tech at a competitive price point.

EX vs Lower Trims

The EX trim elevates the ownership experience significantly over the base LX, most notably through the inclusion of a high-resolution 360-degree camera system for stress-free parking in tight urban malls. Inside, you benefit from upgraded seating materials and dual-zone automatic climate control, a critical feature for maintaining rear-cabin comfort during the peak GCC summer. It also adds front and rear parking sensors and enhanced LED lighting signatures that give the car a much more premium presence on the road.

Sportage vs Segment Rivals

The Sportage leads rivals like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V in technology integration, featuring a more modern curved digital cockpit layout. While the RAV4 focuses on hybrid efficiency, the Sportage 1.6T delivers a more engaging driving experience with higher torque (265 Nm) for quicker highway merges. Additionally, its wheelbase provides rear legroom that matches or beats many competitors, making it a favorite for families requiring car seats without sacrificing front passenger comfort.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy for this 1.6T powertrain typically averages between 7.5 and 8.0 L/100km, making it an efficient choice for long-distance highway driving across the GCC. While Chinese spec cars offer a lower initial purchase price, buyers should note that local agency warranties may not apply; however, Kia's massive parts network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia ensures maintenance remains affordable and straightforward. Depreciation for the Sportage remains stable in the local market, generally losing 12-15% in its first year, significantly less than European luxury crossovers.

Performance & Capability

The 180 hp turbocharged engine allows this Sportage to reach 100 km/h in a brisk 8.8 seconds, providing confident performance for high-speed UAE motorways. The Front Wheel Drive setup is optimized for on-road stability and fuel efficiency, though it offers selectable drive modes to manage traction on gravel or wet surfaces. With a top speed of 201 km/h, it feels planted and composed at the 120-140 km/h cruising speeds typical of cross-border trips between emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The 5-seat cabin is designed to handle extreme heat with powerful air conditioning and dedicated rear cooling vents standard. The dual-level 543-litre boot is one of the most flexible in its class, expanding to over 1,700 litres to accommodate large shopping trips or camping gear. Acoustic glass helps isolate the cabin from wind noise during fast highway commutes, while the integrated digital displays provide seamless smartphone connectivity for navigation.

Safety

This EX trim comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including multiple airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and ABS for maximum control on varying road surfaces. Advanced features like Lane Follow Assist and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist provide an extra layer of protection during long highway drives. The standard 360-degree camera and parking sensors are particularly helpful in navigating the busy, multi-lane environments of major GCC cities.

The bottom line

This is a virtually new 2025 Sportage EX that offers a high-tech features list at a significantly lower entry price than local agency equivalents, perfect for the value-conscious buyer who wants the latest model.
