Summary

This 2025 RAV4 EX is a standout family crossover, finished in a high-resale Black that remains a top choice in the GCC used market. With its current mileage reflecting slightly high but healthy highway use, this vehicle is perfectly broken in for the region's long-distance driving demands. The 2.5L engine balances efficient commuting with enough power for Abu Dhabi-Dubai stretches, while the EX trim adds essential comfort over the base model. Toyota's reputation for reliability means you are buying peace of mind, supported by the most extensive service network in the Middle East. It remains the segment benchmark for anyone prioritizing value retention and summer-ready cooling performance.

This Car vs Other 2025 RAV4s

With 42,251 km on the odometer, this vehicle has seen active use typical of a regional commuter, whereas many 2025 models are still in ultra-low mileage categories. However, for a Toyota, this distance is merely the start of its lifecycle, and the black exterior ensures it will hold its value significantly better than niche colors when it comes time to trade in. The GCC specification ensures the cooling system and radiator are purpose-built for extreme local temperatures.

EX vs Lower Trims

The EX trim provides a meaningful step up from the base GX, offering more refined interior materials and enhanced tech features that GCC buyers value. It typically includes upgraded alloy wheels and superior seat upholstery compared to the entry-level steel-wheel versions. Most importantly, it retains the essential rear-seat climate vents and Toyota Safety Sense suite that make it a safer, more comfortable choice for families.

RAV4 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Honda CR-V or Nissan X-Trail, the RAV4 leads in long-term mechanical simplicity and parts availability across all seven emirates and neighboring GCC states. Its 55-litre fuel tank and 2.5L naturally aspirated engine are famously durable, avoiding the complexity of small-displacement turbos found in some rivals. It offers a more robust air conditioning system, a critical factor for peak summer comfort in the region.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel efficiency is a strong point, with the 2.5L petrol unit achieving approximately 6.9 to 8.0 L/100km in combined cycles. Maintenance is straightforward with service intervals typically every 10,000 km, and authorized service centers are available in every major GCC city. Historically, the RAV4 boasts one of the lowest depreciation rates in the SUV segment, often retaining over 85% of its value after the first year.

Performance & Capability

The 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine produces a reliable 203 hp, providing smooth acceleration for highway overtaking. While this Front Wheel Drive version is road-biased, its 203 mm ground clearance makes it highly capable of navigating gravel tracks and unpaved parking areas common in developing communities. The 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for efficiency, ensuring quiet cruises during cross-border road trips.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five adults, featuring 580 litres of boot space that expands to 1,690 litres for serious cargo needs. GCC-specific comfort is handled by a high-output AC system with dedicated rear vents to keep all passengers cool during July heatwaves. The layout is ergonomic, featuring wireless smartphone integration and acoustic glass that keeps the desert wind noise to a minimum.

Safety

This trim comes equipped with the full Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control for effortless highway drives and Lane Departure Alert. Standard safety also includes multiple airbags and Blind Spot Monitoring, which is essential for navigating fast-moving multi-lane traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. The vehicle carries a 5-star safety pedigree, making it one of the most trusted family vehicles in the crossover category.

The bottom line

For the practical GCC buyer who wants a near-new SUV with proven reliability and the best resale protection in the market, this RAV4 EX is the definitive choice.
