Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP is a standout choice for buyers seeking a long-range luxury SUV without the range anxiety of a pure EV. As a brand-new vehicle with zero mileage, it offers a fresh opportunity to own a Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) that combines a 1.5L generator with a powerful 476 hp dual-motor system. The Black exterior is a high-demand, high-resale color in the UAE market, perfectly complementing the VIP trim's upgraded captain's chairs. While the regional spec is Chinese, the robust build and sophisticated thermal management make it well-suited for the GCC's demanding climate. This is an ideal family cruiser for those who frequently drive between emirates and require premium comfort alongside serious efficiency.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

Being a 2026 model with no mileage specified, this car represents the very beginning of its service life in the UAE. In a market where high-speed highway commuting typically racks up 25,000 km annually, starting with a fresh vehicle provides a significant longevity advantage. The Black Knight exterior kit is a top-tier choice for the GCC, historically retaining value better than lighter or non-metallic shades.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is the flagship of the lineup, replacing the standard bench with second-row zero-gravity captain's chairs that feature 12-way electric adjustment, heating, and massage. It adds a 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155-powered cockpit for superior responsiveness. Unlike lower trims, the VIP also includes a premium 360-degree transparent chassis system and acoustic double-glazed glass across all three rows for maximum desert heat insulation.

ROX 01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 leads rivals like the Li Auto L9 and AITO M9 with its 'all-terrain' focus, featuring a boxy Pininfarina-designed body that offers a superior 700 mm wading depth. Its 70-liter fuel tank is larger than many competitors, providing a verified 1,115 km total range (WLTC) that is perfect for long-distance cross-border trips to Oman or Saudi Arabia. Additionally, the integrated outdoor features, like the optional rear-gate kitchen, cater to the UAE's camping culture better than more road-biased luxury SUVs.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this REEV is approximately 7.95 L/100km (WLTC) when the generator is active, which is significantly more efficient than V8 rivals in stop-start Dubai traffic. Maintenance is simplified as the 1.5L engine operates at constant, efficient speeds solely to charge the 56.01 kWh battery. Service centers like EVS in Dubai and Abu Dhabi provide specialized support for ROX vehicles. The 2026 model year status ensures a slower initial depreciation curve compared to older 2024 or 2025 imports.

Performance & Capability

The dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivers a massive 740 Nm of torque, enabling 0-100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. For weekend adventures, the ROX 01 features five dedicated terrain modes including a specialized Sand mode designed specifically for GCC dunes. It boasts a 45-degree climbing capability and 205 mm of ground clearance, ensuring it can handle rugged wadi tracks just as easily as the Sheikh Zayed Road. The REEV setup means you get instant electric torque for overtaking without ever needing to search for a charger on long drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The 6-seat VIP layout emphasizes passenger space, providing a 2-2-2 configuration that allows easy access to the third row. The multi-zone climate control is engineered to combat 45°C+ summer heat, supported by ventilated and heated seats in both the front and second rows. Tech highlights include a massive 15.7-inch 3K central touchscreen and a streaming digital rearview mirror, ensuring clear visibility even when the boot is fully loaded for a family road trip.

Safety

Safety is managed by an advanced ADAS suite utilizing 5 millimeter-wave radars and 12 ultrasonic sensors. Standard features on the VIP trim include adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, rear collision warning, and a 360-degree HD panoramic camera. The vehicle is constructed with 87% high-grade steel, providing a rigid safety cell that is critical for high-speed highway safety across the region.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who wants the tech of a modern EV but travels long distances, this zero-km 2026 VIP trim offers the perfect balance of luxury, range, and rugged capability.
