Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 is a standout in the growing luxury REEV segment, offering the immediate response of an electric vehicle with a 1.5L generator that removes range anxiety for long GCC cross-border drives. Its distinct boxy silhouette and Italian-led Pininfarina styling provide a presence similar to a Land Rover Defender but with a more tech-focused cabin. As a Chinese spec model, it features a highly competitive equipment list that rivals European luxury SUVs at a much sharper price point. The Green exterior is a bold choice that highlights the vehicle’s rugged, off-road-inspired aesthetic, while the 7-seat configuration makes it a versatile daily driver for large families. For a UAE buyer, this represents a chance to own a futuristic, high-performance SUV that is built for both city traffic and weekend desert camping.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

With a Vehicle Age of 0 years, this ROX 01 is in peak mechanical condition and offers a significant advantage over high-mileage examples often found in the UAE's fast-paced used market. The Green paint is a distinctive, premium shade that sets it apart from the common white and silver fleet, potentially helping its standout appeal at resale. As a current-year model, it benefits from the latest software refinements and battery management updates released for the 2026 production run.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The ROX 01 Standard comes exceptionally well-equipped from the factory, featuring the full dual-motor All-Wheel Drive system and the 56.01 kWh high-capacity battery as baseline equipment. While higher trims focus on 6-seat VIP layouts, this 7-seat Standard trim offers superior family utility with a flexible 2-2-3 seating arrangement and flat-folding rear rows. It includes the signature 15.7-inch 3K central display and a comprehensive 360-degree camera system that makes navigating tight urban parking in Dubai or Riyadh effortless.

ROX 01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 competes directly with the Li Auto L8 and the AITO M7, leading the segment with a robust 700mm wading depth that is specifically suited to the flash-flooding conditions sometimes encountered in the GCC. While the Li Auto L8 is road-focused, the ROX 01 offers a more rugged chassis with double-wishbone aluminum suspension and a dedicated Sand mode for weekend desert trips. Its 1,115 km total range (WLTC) comfortably outdistances many traditional petrol-powered luxury SUVs, making it the superior choice for long-haul drives between emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is excellent in stop-start traffic, as the 1.5L generator only activates to maintain battery levels, avoiding the high fuel consumption typical of large SUVs in city congestion. Maintenance is simplified due to the electric drivetrain, and authorized service centers are rapidly expanding across the UAE and Saudi Arabia to support the growing ROX community. As a Chinese spec model in the GCC, buyers should ensure they have access to local software support; however, the lower initial purchase price compared to European rivals often offsets the steeper initial depreciation seen by new-to-market brands.

Performance & Capability

The ROX 01 delivers a massive 476 hp and 740 Nm of torque, resulting in a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 5.5 seconds—performance that rivals many sports cars. Its intelligent e-AWD system provides precise power distribution, ensuring stability during high-speed highway overtaking and grip on loose sand. With five selectable terrain modes including Snow, Mud, Sand, and Rock, this SUV is engineered to handle diverse GCC environments, supported by a respectable 205 mm ground clearance.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a high-tech sanctuary featuring a massive 15.7-inch infotainment screen and a dedicated rear entertainment display to keep passengers occupied on long desert drives. Dual-layered acoustic glass provides excellent heat and noise insulation, maintaining a quiet, chilled cabin even when exterior temperatures exceed 45°C. The 7-seat layout provides genuine versatility, with enough legroom to accommodate adult passengers in the third row for shorter city trips.

Safety

Safety is a priority with a body constructed from over 87% high-strength steel and a full suite of 9 airbags standard. The vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including adaptive cruise control for long highway stretches, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking. These systems are particularly effective on fast-moving GCC highways, providing an extra layer of protection during high-speed commutes.

The bottom line

For the tech-forward GCC family, this 2026 ROX 01 offers the perfect mix of EV performance and long-range flexibility without the need for a dedicated charging infrastructure. It is a highly capable, modern alternative to traditional luxury SUVs that delivers significantly more features for every dirham spent.
