Summary

This 2026 Toyota Hiace DX represents the definitive standard for high-capacity transport in the GCC, offering a rare combination of a 3.5L V6 engine and a manual gearbox. As a brand-new model, it provides the maximum possible lifespan for fleet operations, while the white exterior remains the most sought-after color for heat reflection and resale value in the region. The DX trim balances essential durability with necessary passenger comforts, making it a superior choice for hotel transfers, school transport, or staff logistics. In a market that values uptime above all else, the Hiace stands out for its unmatched mechanical simplicity and the widest service support network available across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

This Car vs Other 2026 Hiaces

As a brand-new 2026 model, this Hiace offers the latest safety updates and mechanical refinements before they even hit the wider used market. Its zero-kilometer status ensures full mechanical longevity, a critical advantage for commercial buyers who face high annual mileage on GCC highways. The white exterior is the optimal choice for the local climate, significantly aiding cabin cooling while ensuring the highest possible resale demand.

DX vs Lower Trims

The DX trim is engineered specifically for passenger logistics, adding critical rear-cabin comforts that basic panel van variants lack. It features a high-performance manual air conditioning system with dedicated roof-mounted vents for rear occupants, essential for maintaining comfort during peak summer months. Additionally, this trim includes upgraded safety tech like Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), which are often omitted in entry-level commercial specs.

Hiace vs Segment Rivals

Compared to rivals like the Nissan Urvan or Ford Transit, the Hiace leads with its high-output 3.5L V6 engine, providing superior overtaking power on fast-moving highways like the E11. It also benefits from a 70-liter fuel tank that supports long-distance regional transit between cities without frequent stops. The Hiace’s body-on-frame construction is widely regarded as the most durable in the segment for handling the heavy passenger loads common in GCC commercial use.

Running Costs & Resale

The Hiace holds the strongest resale value in its class within the GCC, typically depreciating significantly slower than European or American competitors. Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5L V6 averages around 12.5L/100km, a competitive figure given its high passenger capacity and power output. With the most extensive authorized service network in the region, parts are readily available and affordable, ensuring minimal downtime for business owners.

Performance & Capability

Generating 278 hp, this V6-powered bus offers effortless performance even when fully loaded with passengers and luggage. The rear-wheel-drive layout and manual transmission provide the mechanical robustness required for the stop-start traffic of Riyadh and Dubai, as well as the stability needed for long desert highway drives. The specialized leaf-spring rear suspension is reinforced specifically to maintain a level ride under maximum payload conditions.

Comfort & Cabin

The 9+ seater layout is designed for maximum utility, featuring durable, easy-to-clean materials that withstand heavy daily use. The air conditioning system is specifically tuned for the GCC, with a powerful compressor and dual-zone controls that allow the driver to manage rear-cabin cooling independently. Large side windows and a high-roof design ensure the interior feels spacious and airy, preventing passenger fatigue on cross-border trips.

Safety

Safety is prioritized with a suite of active systems including an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Brake Assist, which provide vital stopping power for a large vehicle. This GCC-spec DX also comes standard with dual front airbags and a reinforced safety cell. Traction Control (TRC) is included to maintain grip on sand-dusted surfaces, a common hazard on regional roads, ensuring a secure transport experience for all occupants.

The bottom line

This 2026 Hiace DX is the perfect opportunity for a business or fleet operator looking for a new, high-performance transport solution with the best service support in the GCC. It combines the power of a V6 with the legendary reliability of a manual Toyota, making it a low-risk, high-return investment for years to come.
