Highlights

• 700 Nm of torque from a 3.3L twin-turbo V6 diesel
• 3,500 kg braked towing capacity
• 110-litre fuel tank standard

Summary

This GCC-spec VXR represents the pinnacle of Toyota's diesel engineering, offering a rare combination of 700 Nm of low-end torque and impressive range for the 2026 model year. As the premium trim in the Land Cruiser lineup, it features the Electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (E-KDSS), which provides unmatched stability both on dunes and high-speed motorways. The black exterior is a high-demand choice in the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring excellent resale liquidity. For the long-distance GCC driver, this 3.3L twin-turbo diesel is the definitive choice for crossing borders with fewer fuel stops than its petrol counterparts.

This Car vs Other 2026 Land Cruisers

With near-zero mileage, this 2026 model represents a pristine entry into the LC300 generation, offering a 'new car' advantage in the pre-owned market. In a region where high-mileage highway driving is the norm, starting with a fresh diesel powertrain provides significant long-term mechanical overhead. The black-on-black color combination remains one of the fastest-moving specifications across GCC showrooms.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR trim adds the sophisticated Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) and E-KDSS, features rarely found on the GXR that drastically improve ride quality on uneven terrain. Inside, the VXR upgrades the experience with a 14-speaker JBL premium audio system, a 12.3-inch high-definition infotainment screen, and a full-color Head-Up Display. Unlike base trims, the VXR includes ventilated and heated seats for both the first and second rows, a vital feature for the intense GCC summer.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

While the Nissan Patrol remains its primary rival, the Land Cruiser 300's diesel variant leads in low-range torque efficiency, making it the preferred tool for heavy towing across the Emirates. Compared to the Land Rover Defender, the Land Cruiser offers a more extensive authorized service network that reaches even the remotest parts of Oman and Saudi Arabia. Its 110-litre fuel capacity is specifically designed for trans-GCC journeys where petrol stations can be hundreds of kilometers apart.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.3L twin-turbo diesel is remarkably efficient for a full-size SUV, with official combined figures around 8.9L/100km, significantly reducing the cost of ownership compared to the 3.5L petrol. Toyota’s authorized service centers are available in every major city across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts are always accessible. The Land Cruiser maintains one of the highest 3-year value retention rates in the world, often losing less than 10% annually in the GCC market.

Performance & Capability

The standout figure is the 700 Nm of torque, which allows the Land Cruiser to maintain effortless momentum when climbing steep dunes or overtaking on the E11 highway. The 10-speed automatic transmission is geared to keep the diesel engine in its power band, supporting a robust 3,500 kg braked towing capacity. With 235mm of ground clearance and Multi-Terrain Select, this vehicle is technically equipped for professional-grade desert exploration straight from the showroom.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout features a power-folding third row, maximizing cargo space for family road trips without manual lifting. The VXR's cabin is insulated with acoustic glass to provide a quiet environment, shielding passengers from both road noise and the extreme external heat. A built-in refrigerator in the center console and dedicated rear-seat climate zones ensure all seven passengers remain comfortable during the height of July.

Safety

This VXR is equipped with the full Toyota Safety Sense suite, featuring Pre-Collision System, Lane Trace Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control, which is indispensable for long highway drives between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. A 360-degree Multi-Terrain Monitor provides a clear view of the vehicle's immediate surroundings, helping to avoid obstacles in tight city parking or on rocky mountain paths. The vehicle also features 10 SRS airbags as standard, providing comprehensive protection for all three rows of passengers.

The bottom line

This is the ultimate specification for a buyer who demands the luxury of a VXR with the unstoppable torque and range of Toyota's newest diesel engine. It is a blue-chip automotive investment that combines immediate off-road readiness with the best resale profile in the Middle East.
