Summary

This 2026 Prado All Rounder G marks the most significant generational shift for Toyota's mid-size icon, replacing the old V6 with a punchy 2.4-liter turbocharged powertrain that excels in highway overtaking and fuel efficiency. Finished in classic White, it offers the highest resale security in the GCC market while delivering modern tech like the 12.3-inch display audio. Unlike many rivals, it maintains a rugged body-on-frame construction, ensuring it remains the gold standard for durability across the Emirates. For the GCC buyer, this is a versatile seven-seater that transitions seamlessly from executive city commuting to weekend desert excursions with zero mechanical compromise.

This Car vs Other 2026 Prados

With zero kilometers on the clock, this 2026 model represents a factory-fresh entry into the latest '250 Series' generation. White remains the undisputed king of resale colors in the UAE and Saudi markets, providing a distinct advantage when it’s time to trade up. In a market where high-mileage highway cruisers are common, starting with a brand-new vehicle ensures full warranty coverage and maximum longevity.

ALL ROUNDER G vs Lower Trims

The All Rounder G trim adds essential GCC comfort features over base variants, most notably ventilated front seats which are a necessity for the local summer. It upgrades the technology suite with a massive 12.3-inch infotainment screen and synthetic leather upholstery that is significantly more durable than fabric in sandy environments. You also gain the convenience of a power back door and a built-in cool box for long desert drives.

Prado vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Mitsubishi Pajero or Nissan Pathfinder, the Prado leads with its massive 110-litre fuel tank, allowing for long-distance travel across the GCC without frequent stops. While many rivals have moved to car-based unibody designs, the Prado retains its heavy-duty ladder frame, offering superior articulation and durability for true off-road use. Its 430 Nm of low-end torque provides better sand-crawling capability than most naturally aspirated V6 competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption is rated at approximately 10.6 km/L, a notable improvement over the previous generation that makes daily commuting in stop-start traffic more economical. Toyota boasts the most extensive authorized service network in the region, with centers readily available from Dubai to Riyadh, ensuring parts are always accessible. Historically, the Prado holds its value better than any other vehicle in its class, typically retaining 80-85% of its value after three years in the GCC market.

Performance & Capability

The 2.4-liter turbocharged engine delivers a robust 267 HP, providing a more responsive driving experience than the engines it replaces. Its full-time 4WD system, paired with a center differential lock and 221 mm of ground clearance, makes it exceptionally capable in deep sand and rocky wadis. An 8-speed automatic transmission ensures smooth power delivery, whether you're cruising at 140 km/h on the E11 or navigating high dunes on the weekend.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed to handle the GCC heat with a high-output dual automatic climate control system and dedicated vents for all three rows. The 7-seat configuration is highly flexible, featuring a 60:40 split-tumble second row and 50:50 third row to accommodate both large families and significant cargo. Premium touches include a digital instrument cluster and a chilled center console to keep beverages cold during cross-border road trips.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the All Rounder G includes a comprehensive airbag system and Toyota's latest stability control systems tailored for high-riding SUVs. It features cruise control and parking sensors as standard, providing extra confidence on the UAE’s multi-lane highways. The rugged frame design offers superior passive safety, while the advanced braking system is engineered to perform reliably even under the stress of high desert temperatures.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a family looking for a modern, tech-forward SUV that won't lose its value. It offers the perfect balance of new-generation performance with the legendary reliability that has made the Prado a GCC staple for decades.
