Summary

This 2027 Mercedes-AMG G63 represents the latest evolution of the W463 generation, featuring the new 48-volt mild-hybrid system for enhanced low-end response. With delivery mileage of just 50 km, this European-spec example offers a near-new ownership experience without the long dealer waiting lists common in the UAE. The Obsidian Black exterior is the strongest resale color in the GCC, ensuring high liquidity and value retention in the local market. As an AMG powerhouse with a hand-assembled engine, it perfectly bridges the gap between a high-performance sports car and a rugged off-roader. For the GCC buyer, the combination of iconic status and the recently updated AMG Active Ride Control makes it the premier choice for both city presence and long-distance desert touring.

This Car vs Other 2027 G63 AMGs

At just 50 km, this G63 is essentially a zero-mile vehicle, offering a significant advantage over the typical 20,000 km annual average seen in the UAE. The European regional specification ensures high-end technical equipment, while the black-on-black color combination remains the most sought-after configuration for resale in the local market. Compared to other 2027 listings, the immediate availability of this specific car bypasses current global production constraints and long-term local allocation queues.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The AMG G63 serves as the performance pinnacle of the G-Class range, adding the hand-built M177 V8 engine which the base G500 has recently replaced with a six-cylinder unit. This trim includes the AMG Speedshift 9-speed transmission and the sophisticated AMG Active Ride Control suspension, providing vastly superior road handling and reduced body roll compared to non-AMG variants. Inside, the G63 gains AMG-specific display modes, a performance steering wheel with integrated drive-unit dials, and higher-grade Nappa leather as standard.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The G63 stands alone against rivals like the Range Rover Sport SV and the Lamborghini Urus by retaining a traditional ladder-frame construction and three mechanical locking differentials. While the Urus leads on track dynamics, the G63 offers superior durability for the extreme heat and rugged terrain often encountered on weekend excursions in the UAE or Saudi Arabia. Its 100-litre fuel tank provides a longer touring range than most performance SUVs, making it better suited for cross-border GCC road trips.

Running Costs & Resale

The G63 AMG historically enjoys some of the highest value retention in the UAE luxury market, typically depreciating at a slower rate than its European rivals due to its iconic status. While real-world fuel consumption reflects the high-output V8, the new mild-hybrid system improves efficiency during GCC stop-start city traffic. Mercedes-Benz maintains one of the most comprehensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring specialized parts and AMG-trained technicians are always accessible.

Performance & Capability

Delivering a verified 0–100 km/h time of 4.4 seconds, the G63 offers supercar-level acceleration in a body-on-frame SUV. Its off-road hardware remains unmatched in the performance segment, featuring a low-range transfer case and a 700 mm wading depth for handling seasonal flooding or desert wadis. The 850 Nm of torque is now supplemented by an integrated starter-generator, providing an extra 150 Nm burst for smoother highway overtaking and improved low-speed crawling.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is tailored for the GCC climate with standard ventilated front seats and a powerful tri-zone climate control system designed to combat 45°C+ summer heat. The latest MBUX infotainment system features dual 12.3-inch displays and the 'Transparent Hood' camera function, which is invaluable for navigating tight parking spaces in Dubai or technical terrain off-road. Acoustic glass and improved insulation ensure the interior remains a quiet sanctuary, even at high highway speeds across the desert.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes a full suite of ADAS features such as Active Steering Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring, which are essential for navigating fast-moving multi-lane traffic. The 360° camera system and Active Parking Assist provide critical visibility for a vehicle of this size, while the robust ladder-frame chassis offers a level of passive structural protection unique to the G-Class range.

The bottom line

For the elite GCC buyer, this 50 km European-spec G63 AMG offers the perfect combination of immediate availability, the most desirable color for resale, and the raw performance of a hand-built V8.
