Summary

This 2027 Mercedes-AMG G63 is a commanding presence in the GCC, where the G-Wagon has long been the definitive status symbol for desert-capable luxury. Finished in timeless black, it offers the strongest resale profile in the regional market, especially when paired with its iconic handcrafted V8. While rivals have moved toward smaller displacements, the G63 retains its mechanical soul with 585 hp and a signature side-exit exhaust note. For the UAE or Saudi owner, it provides a unique blend of high-speed highway stability and genuine 4x4 hardware that few luxury SUVs can match. This specific model represents a high-value opportunity for those seeking the latest iteration of an automotive legend with zero compromise on performance.

This Car vs Other 2027 G63 AMGs

As a 2027 model, this G63 represents the latest refinement of the W463A generation, featuring the integrated starter-generator for smoother low-end torque. In a market where average annual mileage reaches 25,000 km, a newer model year like this ensures you are ahead of the typical maintenance curve. The black exterior is the most liquid color for resale in Dubai and Riyadh, consistently attracting the highest demand from local buyers.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

In the G-Class hierarchy, the G63 AMG sits at the top, adding the hand-built V8 engine, widened wheel arches, and high-performance braking systems not found on the G500. This trim includes the AMG Dynamic Select system with specialized sand and trail modes essential for GCC weekend drives. Inside, you receive the premium Nappa leather and the dual 12.3-inch widescreen cockpit as standard, features that command a significant premium over base configurations.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The G63 stands apart from the Lamborghini Urus and Range Rover Autobiography by utilizing a rugged ladder-frame chassis and three independent locking differentials. While the Urus focuses on track-like agility, the G63 offers superior ground clearance and a 3,175 kg towing capacity, making it far more versatile for regional needs. Its vertical seating position and iconic boxy design provide visibility and road presence that streamlined competitors cannot replicate.

Running Costs & Resale

The G63 is a top-tier performer in value retention, typically depreciating slower than its European peers in the UAE market due to its cult following. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 15.0 L/100km, though this fluctuates in GCC stop-start city traffic. Mercedes-Benz has one of the most robust authorized service networks across the GCC, ensuring parts and specialized technicians are available from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait City. Regular service intervals occur every 15,000 km, keeping long-term reliability high for the regional climate.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 4.0L V8 biturbo producing 585 hp, the G63 reaches a top speed of 220 km/h with effortless highway overtaking capability. Its permanent all-wheel-drive system features a 40:60 rear-biased torque split for improved on-road dynamics without sacrificing its 241 mm of ground clearance. The inclusion of a low-range transfer case means it is as comfortable climbing sand dunes as it is cruising at 140 km/h on the E11 highway.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC summer, equipped with a high-capacity climate control system and ventilated front seats as standard. Burmester® Surround Sound provides an immersive audio experience, while the ambient lighting allows for personalized interior moods. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated climate zones and ample headroom, making it a viable luxury family transport for long-distance cross-border trips.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with the Mercedes-Benz Pre-Safe® system, Active Brake Assist, and a 360-degree camera that is invaluable for parking such a large vehicle in tight urban spaces. For GCC highways, the Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Blind Spot Assist provide peace of mind during long drives. The vehicle's heavy-duty construction and array of nine airbags ensure maximum occupant protection in all driving conditions.

The bottom line

For the buyer who demands a vehicle that is equally respected at a five-star valet or a desert camp, this 2027 G63 is the ultimate GCC all-rounder. It combines the newest hybrid-assist V8 performance with the best possible resale color in the local market.
