About the Nissan Tiida
Introduced into the GCC market in 2006, it was supposed to take over from the Nissan Sunny, however, due to some unknown factors, that decision was flipped on it’s head, and the Sunny stayed with the Tiida alongside. Since its first trek in the UAE, they proved to be very popular cars in the community and seen as a reasonable car to buy for first time drivers and those on a tight budget. Import versions from the United States carry the Versa badge instead of Tiida. Main rivals consist of the Toyota Corolla, Ford Focus and Mazda 3 and many others.

Nissan also introduced a “sports” body kit for consumers to slap on as well as additional options such as AUX inputs, cruise control, CD changer, trip computer and a multi speaker stereo system.
Two engine options were available; 1.6-litre and 1.8-litre petrol engines. 1.6 motors power the front wheels via a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic whereas 1.8 units drive the front wheels via a 6-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.
