2017 BMW M3 celebrates 30 years

After the wake of two recent special edition models of upcoming BMW’s rolling out around the world, one of which is exclusive to the US and the other to Europe. If that news disheartened you, BMW is celebrating 30 years of the M3 with a special edition available all over the world.

To celebrate such an occasion, the German brand is dressing the sedan in Macao Blue Metallic and adding a 30 Jahre (30 years) nameplate to the title. BMW’s Competition Package comes as standard and the vehicle no packs 444 horsepower instead of 425. 0-100 km/h is now attainable in around 4 seconds with a manual gearbox and 3.8 seconds when equipped with a dual clutch transmission.

Additionally, BMW has equipped the limited sedan with a Driver Assistance Plus Package inclusive of a 360-degree camera and blind spot detection mirrors on each side.

Aside from all the new features, each model has all of BMW latest technological gadgets; navigation, cooled front seats, memory seats, keyless start, climate control and everything else in between. Autonomous features won’t be present in this sports sedan.

30 Jahre models are destined for US showrooms in late August 2016 and will arrive as 2017 models. 150 models will be sold in America leaving 350 models for the rest of the world to scrap over as only 500 total units will exist. Each model starts with a price tag of $ 84,245 (AED 309,400) for manual models and $ 87,145 (AED 320,100) for auto versions.
