2018 Ford Mustang Bullitt confirmed

This past week, a behind the scenes video popped up online documenting a recent shoot involving a Mustang or two. Eagle-eyed viewers were quick to notice something odd, specifically the rumoured 2018 Ford Mustang Bullitt lurking in the background.

Dozens upon dozens of posts flooded the internet about this unconfirmed Mustang variant and no less than a week later, new pictures have surfaced confirming the special edition existence and showcasing its unique appearance and custom features.

The special edition 2018 Ford Mustang Bullitt will be decked out in Dark Highland Green and is complemented with exclusive five-spoke black and chrome rims as well as red Brembo brake callipers and dark exhaust pipes.

A quick glimpse of the rear gives us a clue that racing seats replace the standard front seats plus a unique crosshair badge in place of the GT logo. No clear pictures of the interior have surfaced although we’re inclined to believe it will remain identical to the standard GT model.

What drives the 2018 Ford Mustang Bullitt?

Various sources indicate the Bullitt benefits from a 5.0-litre Coyote V8 borrowed from the GT. While it may not be a complete beast in a straight line, it’s cornering abilities are said to have been improved thanks to various enhanced and new suspension components lurking beneath its rugged appearance.

Expect to catch a closer glimpse of the 2018 Ford Mustang Bullitt early next year at the annual Detroit Motor Show.
