2018 Honda Accord arrives in the UAE

Early this week, the all-new 2018 Honda Accord launched in the UAE. Comprised of 29% high-strength steel, Honda’s latest version is shorter, wider and lower compared to the 2017 Accord.

Available in no less than ten exterior colours, thanks to the new dimensions the latest Accord rides on longer wheelbase allowing for a roomier cabin for all to enjoy. Rear legroom increase by 48mm while the entire cabin can now accommodate an additional 70 litres and boot space grows gaining an extra 25 litres of space.

Gone are the 2.4-litre straight four and 3.5-litre V6 power units, taking over is an all-new 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol rated at 198 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. In place of the 3.5-litre motor is a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine rated at 247 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque driving the front axle via a 10-speed automatic gearbox. This allows the mid-sized saloon to launch from 0-100 km/h in 5.8 seconds, quicker than the new 2018 Camry V6.
