General Motors has revealed the 2019 Chevrolet Cruze with a fresh face, revised bumper and a host of updates all around.
The biggest change of the lot is the introduction of a new trim level known as the RS package. Already a familiar sight on other Chevy models, 2019 Chevrolet Cruze models bearing the moniker receives dark window mouldings and Chevy emblem, and stock 17-inch alloy rims with 18-inch alloys optionally available.
The rest of the trim options receive Chevrolet’s latest front grille, new wheel designs and LED taillights along with a new infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen display.
Buyers can also look forward to automatic climate control and remote start when opting for LT and Premier trim levels along with a new choice of colour for the interior known as Umber
Nothing short of safety with the 2019 Chevrolet Cruze
Chevrolet claims the Cruze doesn’t take any shortcuts with the refreshed Cruze and it’s hard to prove them wrong. Lane keep assist, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, low-speed front braking, rear parking assist, following distance indicator and forward collision alert plus a few more we may have missed.
As you can see, that’s quite a lot on offer for such a compact car.
There are no known engine changes at least in the US that is as a 1.4-litre petrol motor continues to generate 153 horsepower and drives the front end. Stateside customers can choose between a six-speed manual, six-speed or nine-speed automatic transmission.
In the UAE, current Chevy Cruze’s are powered by 1.8-litre petrol motor rated at 140 horses.
Order books for 2019 Chevrolet Cruze models will open later this year.
