2019 Ford Ranger Raptor confirmed

Currently undergoing testing in the Australian Outback, the long awaited 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor is on its way to the public in the not so distant future.

Decked out in heavy camo, it’s hard to believe the desert hungry machine won’t sport an impending appearance all around and will prove to be a potent off-roader.

The Blue Oval is currently keeping it low key on what engine powers each corner of the 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor, although sources indicate a detuned version of the F150 Raptor’s 3.5-litre V6 will be present. A diesel engine is also rumoured to be available at launch.

Engines are not the only crucial parts of the vehicle Ford is not letting slip as little is known about the 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor.

Of course, the model will take to non-tarmac surfaces like a duck to water. We’re expecting Fox Racing shocks and off-road ready tyres to adorn each corner to allow the model to glide through rough terrain.

2019 Ford Ranger Raptor availability

Ford’s ‘baby’ Raptor has been confirmed to go on sale in South Africa, Australia and surrounding regions in within the next two years as a 2019 model. Other markets including the US and the Middle East have yet to be announced.

While development may be taking place in Australia, the pickup will be built in Michigan alongside the new Ford Bronco which is slated to launch just in time for 2020. Both will utilise the T6 Platform.

Dubicars.com has new Ford Ranger and used Ford Ranger for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.
