2019 Jaguar I-Pace is ready to pounce on the Tesla Model X

This past weekend, Jaguar has finally lifted the wraps off of their first ever all-electric vehicle. Known as the 2019 Jaguar I-Pace, the British manufacturer is going straight after Telsa and their Model X electric SUV.

Influenced heavily by the gorgeous C-X75 supercar, the new vehicle proudly wears muscular yet smooth lines giving off a coupe appearance.

Beneath its tough exterior is a 90kWh lithium-ion battery of which Jaguar claims the model can traverse 475 kilometres on a single charge. Owners can charge the battery up to 80% in just over an hour and 25 minutes using a 50 kW DC charger.

Swap that for a 100 kW rapid charge and that time decreases to 40 minutes!

Not only can it be charged in no time, but it’s also fast in a straight line. With 395 horsepower and 696 Nm of torque, This allows the 2019 Jaguar I-Pace to race from 0-100 km/h in an impressive 4.6 seconds.

Jaguar claims the I-Pace interior space is comparable to larger SUV’s. Owners can expect 890 mm of legroom in the rear and 656 litres of cargo space which increase to 1,453 litres with the rear seats folded flat.

Regarding tech, the latest Jaguar receives a new Touch Pro Duo infotainment system similar to the one found in the new Range Rover lineup. With two touchscreens combined with capacitive sensors and control dials, the new Jag receives navigation, Amazon Alexa Skill and will receive over-the-air software updates.

Jaguar’s first fully electric SUV is available to order in the UK with prices starting at £63,495 or AED 322,003. Four trim levels are on offer; S, SE, HSE and First Edition.

Dubicars.com has new Jaguar and used Jaguar for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
