Early this year, a certain Electric car manufacturer announced they would be bringing their cost-effective Tesla Model 3 to the region. That day has arrived in a sense as you can pre-order the model right now in the UAE.
Prices for the Tesla Model 3 in the UAE starts at AED 159,900 for the Standard Range Plus which is equipped with a single motor RWD. If you want something more powerful, there are two more trims available.
The Performance variant starts at AED 215,900 with dual-motor all-wheel drive. The Long Range model starts at AED 189,900.
But what’s the difference between the three?
Besides the drivetrain, the Standard Range Plus has a range of 409km on a single charge, a top speed of 225 km/h and launches to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.
Long Range models offer the longest range as the name implies with a range of 560 km/h. 233 km/h top speed and a 0-100 km/h time of 4.6 seconds.
Rocketing to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds is the Performance trim level. It comes at a price though as the range is cut down to 530 km, but it’s the fastest of the bunch with a top speed of 261 km/h.
Pre-order books are officially open right now, and you’ll have to put a down payment of AED 10,000. But you won’t be getting your car right away. The first batch of deliveries is expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2020.
