BMW M3 CS launches with just 1,200 units for all

It’s here, the day has finally arrived! The BMW M3 CS is now launching in select regions and to celebrate, BMW has kindly released almost 90 fresh images of the last iteration of the current M3# lineup.

The brand new BMW M3 CS or M3 Club Sport boasts a revised 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight six petrol engine which now pushes out 454 horsepower, an increase of 10 over the M3 performance pack, and 600 Nm of torque.

Naturally, the super saloon is fitted with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Together with the potent engine, BMW claims CS launches from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds before hitting an electronically capped top speed of 280 km/h.

Not only is the model more powerful and quicker in a straight line, the CS also weighs significantly less compared to the standard M3. Thanks to the increase of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic, the M3 CS weighs 50 kilos less.

BMW M3 CS, a fitting tribute

As for the current M3, production comes to an end this June and is due to new rules being implemented. However, the BMW M3 CS serves as a fitting last hurrah for the four-door high-performance machine. BMW M4 models will continue to be built for while as BMW will fit a new particulate filter to the vehicle in order to adhere to the new rules.

The German manufacturer will build just 1,200 BMW M3 CS saloons with 500 of them destined for the US. That only leaves 700 for six other continents to scrap over.

Dubicars.com has new BMW 3-series and used BMW 3-series for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.
