BMW M8 spied lighting up the ring

We’ve been anticipating the BMW M8 as well as the 8-Series since we first heard about it. As the day draws closer to its launch, budding spy photographers have caught a glimpse of the German ‘beast’ munching up the track.

Spotted covered in heavy camo from head to toe, BMW has remained tight-lipped on what’s on the horizon. Judging by the gaping holes visible at the front, a beastly engine is hiding underneath.

Sources indicate the potential of a V8 twin-turbo motor rated at an impressive 600 horsepower equating to the BMW M8 meaning serious business in a few years.

This engine is also the same one reported for the new M5 which also happens to ship with a dedicated Drift Mode in all-wheel drive models. Could this mode also make its way into the BMW M8?

BMW M8 models are to debut after the new 8-series enters showrooms in 2019 in both coupe and convertible forms after a 2018 full reveal.

As previously mentioned, BMW 8-Series models are to take over from the current 6-Series, but the 6-Series won’t evaporate into thin air. Instead, the moniker will carry on attached to liftback models.

8-Series models won’t stop there, as the German brand has plans to add a hybrid powertrain as well as an electric performance model. These models will incorporate the same powertrain used by the recently unveiled 740e Performance model.

Until then, we’ve got new BMW and used BMW for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.
