BMW X7 Spotted

SUV’s and premium SUV’s are the “it” thing to do for auto manufacturers. BMW has the former with their various iterations of the X-Series. There is another one on the way in the guise of the BMW X7 that promises to be part of the premium category.

With the likes of Cadillac’s Escalade, Mercedes-Benz’s GLS-Class and the Range Rover Long-Wheelbase dominating the premium SUV category for some time, BMW want some of that action with their latest SUV.

Spotted lapping the Nurburgring, we can’t get a clear grasp of what to expect. However, signature BMW styling cues are evident including the double kidney front grille, headlights and the fact it looks similar to the X5.

Based on the brands CLAR modular platform which is also found underneath the new 7-Series and 5-Series, The BMW X7 will sport plenty of carbon fibre in its construction resulting in a lightweight package with increased fuel economy and dynamics.

Aside from the usual V6 and V8 petrol motors powering all four wheels, a plug-in hybrid motor is being considered for the BMW X7 and rumours have the M Performance version driven by a beastly V12 to clash with the mighty Bentayga and the Cullinan that is set to launch in the next few years.

BMW X7 models are set to go on sale next year as a 2019 model with an undisclosed price tag.

There’s still plenty of time to get your hands on a new BMW X5 and used BMW X5 for sale in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman.
