Ford has another reason to buy an EcoBoost Mustang

For those out there who bought an EcoBoost Mustang driven by a 2.3-litre four-cylinder petrol and felt like it seemed underpowered, REJOICE! Ford has released an ECU tune and a new filter for you to install on your American icon to give it that extra kick.

Instead of the standard 310 horsepower and 434 Nm of torque, the performance pack brings that total up to 335 horses and 529 Nm. So it’s not 740 hp that the new GT500 is packing, but it’s something, right?

The extra juice can be installed on both manual and automatic transmissions and is available for the 2015 EcoBoost Mustang and newer models. As it is a factory product, warranty is not voided when the attachments are fitted.

No price is known for UAE customers with the pack destined for showrooms within the next few months. Alternatively, if you feel like getting your hands dirty, you can order the enhancement package from Ford’s performance parts website where it costs $699 per unit without shipping.

For those who own the 5-litre versions, there is a performance package available to extract some extra juice from the engine. Those with a 3.5-litre may have to wait around are stand back in envy.

Additionally, it’s expected for those who are purchasing a new one from the dealer will be able to add the new gadgets to your new ride for an extra fee.
