Future McLaren models to have autonomous capabilites

Over the years, Mclaren has mentioned that they will never piece together an SUV as a saving grace and why would they. Along with Aston Martin, the British manufacturer creates gorgeous examples of modern day sports cars. However, there is one trend that Mclaren are keen on implementing into future vehicles, and that is Autonomous driving.

Now before everyone gets upset and claiming that the system will take away how one drives a car, Mclaren have said that it’ll only play a small role in regards to safety. The revolutionary technology can be enabled and disabled with a press of a button, which is a fantastic feature for commuting down busy roads. And when it’s all clear, simply disable the system and drive your heart out.

The autonomous capabilities will also be present on the race track to aid rookie drivers in achieving the perfect racing line.

Mclaren is the first of a long list of sport car manufacturers to announce the implementation of “hands-free” driving in future models, there’s no doubt many other big names such as Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini and others are considering the tech.

It’s unclear if the system will come as standard across the range and if it does, it’ll come at a price. No exact time frame is mentioned when the system will roll out, all we know is that it’s on the way.

Are you craving for some of Britain’s finest? We’ve got new Mclaren and used Mclaren for sale in Dubai. Without the autonomous driving abilities of course.
