Hyundai Kona launched in the UAE

Hyundai’s latest compact SUV has finally arrived in the UAE. Aimed towards younger buyers who seek thrill and adventures; the Hyundai Kona is here.

Don’t let its subcompact looks fool you as the Kona oozes character and is packed with the latest tech in safety, driver assistance and drivetrain.

To keep it short and sweet, Hyundai’s latest SUV can be had with a heads-up display and a funky floating touchscreen navigation system.

On top of that, the Hyundai Kona can be equipped with a number of safety systems including Lane Keeping Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Blind-Spot Collision Warning. The new Kona is one of the safest vehicles amongst rivals and also received a five-star rating from Euro NCAP.

As for power, the model is expected to be offered with at least two engine options. A 2.0-litre petrol unit good for 147 horsepower and a 1.6-litre turbo unit rated at 174 hp. The former is only front-wheel drive and mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox while the latter is all-wheel drive and mated to a seven-speed auto transmission.

The Hyundai Kona is only the tip of the iceberg as one more Hyundai is on its way to the region as is the Volkswagen GTI rivalling N brand.

Later this month, the new 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe is expected to arrive in the Middle East and will offer interested parties a slight redesign and a range of the latest safety features.

Unveiled in Germany at the world famous Nurburgring, Hyundai’s N variants are expected to arrive in Africa and the Middle East sometime in 2019.

Dubicars.com has new Hyundai and used Hyundai for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.
