Jaguar E-Pace makes grand debut in London

No this isn’t the all-electric Jaguar SUV we’ve been waiting for, this is the Jaguar E-Pace. Launched this week in a spectacular event in London, we’ve got all the juicy details you need.

At first glance, glimpses of the F-Pace immediately stick out along with styling cues borrowed from the British manufactures sports cars. Based on the Range Rover Evoque platform, the Jaguar E-Pace measures in slighter longer to offer additional legroom and increased boot space.

Inside, the central column is highlighted with a standard 10-inch touch screen display, digital climate control dials and sleek gear lever. Drivers benefit from a 12.3-inch instrument gauge and an optional heads-up display.

As this is the “Baby” SUV of Jaguar’s lineup, power is drawn from a selection of 2-litre four cylinder petrol motors rated at 246 and 296 horsepower. Diesel engines will be available in select markets with outputs ranging from 150 to 240 hp.

As standard, a nine-speed automatic gearbox controls each of the wheels, and as with the diesel options, a six-speed manual box will be available in certain countries.

Two versions of the Jaguar E-Pace have been confirmed with one serving as the base model and the other known as R-Design will head the lineup. Jaguar will offer three specifications “packs” with plenty on offer.

Prices for the UAE and GCC regions have yet to be announced. Experts have the Jaguar E-Pace starting from AED 160,000 while top tier models will cost AED 260,000.

Dubicars.com has new Jaguar and used Jaguar for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi.
