Next Audi A8 to rival entire S-Class

For many years, the likes of Audi and Mercedes-Benz have been battling over who makes the perfect German vehicle loved by millions around the world. For the time being, that appears to be Mercedes especially the S-Class, which shows up on TV, movies not to mention all over the streets around the world. Sure Audi has their vehicles scattered amongst Marvel films, but that doesn’t seem to be enough and they want that to change ASAP!

The S-Class family consists of around six variations of which two of them Audi can match. Come next generation that could all change as the sedan and long wheelbase could be joined by a coupe amongst other body types to give consumers of German luxury vehicles another option.

Four or two doors not enough? Not to worry as at least one of these German manufacturers takes on special requests. Audi has created a one-off six-seater A8 for the King of Norway, inclusive of luxurious options such as rear entertainment, high-grade leather seats, sunroofs and more. So far only one has been put into production, however, if requested, Audi can build you one for the right price.

Just down the road, Mercedes-Benz also make a limousine, but without the extra doors, instead, they retain the four-door setup and much like its rival; they offer premium options such has cooled seats, high definition rear entertainment and a six seat setup with rear seats facing each other. While both have minor differences, there are technical differences that could seal the deal.

Adding new body styles to the A8 line-up is great news, what’s more interesting though, is the prospects of autonomous driving systems being implemented. SAE level 3 is the tier of choice, which gives drivers the chance to take their hands off the wheel and relax at high speeds for a longer period of time than normally.
