Next-gen Nissan Juke arrives next year with a new look

The Nissan Juke may not be to everyone’s taste. With its quirky design and popularity amongst teenagers, Nissan sells around 100,000 units annually! But the model is slowly outdating itself as the years go. It is in need of a serious refresh which is exactly what the Japanese Company are going to do in 2017.

Many of the original styling cues that made the Juke stand out will be retained in some form or another in the next generation, i.e., the large round lights up front. As Nissan has paired up with Renault, underneath the bodywork is a longer chassis which is also lighter in comparison to last years model.

Massive changes are to be made inside by the Japanese company regarding materials and finishes. The overhaul will include a new infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay installed. With the new chassis, rear leg room increases.

New underpinnings mean new engines are on the way. Here in the GCC, we’ll probably receive the 1.6-litre four cylinder turbocharged motor pumping out 190 horsepower. Other regions will have a 1-litre three-cylinder and a 1.5-litre diesel version. And with all new and updated cars rolling out over the years, a plug-in hybrid drivetrain is expected.

Upcoming 2017 Juke models are set to debut during the first half of 2017, however, before that, it could be showcased in concept from between now and then.
