Pininfarina PF0 electric supercar announced, already has eyes set on the GCC

Announced earlier this year, Automobili Pininfarina has jumped on the all-electric supercar bandwagon. Officially launched in April 2018 in Italy, the European manufacturer has plans for a short production run of the Pininfarina PF0 electric supercar and are said to be not only aiming for the US and Europe but the Middle East and the UAE too.

Come the second half of 2018, Automobili Pininfarina CEO Michael Perschke has plans to tour the GCC region showcasing the Pininfarina PF0 and intends to partner with the “worlds best luxury car retailers.”

Perschke went on to say “PF0 is born from the 50-year-old dream of Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina, to see a stand-alone Pininfarina-branded range of cars that are both beautiful and technologically advanced.”

While nothing is set in stone, the Pininfarina PF0 is aiming for a 0-100 km/h time of under two seconds and a top speed of 400 km/h all while producing zero emissions, very little noise and an estimated range of 500 km.

Driven by an all-electric powertrain, no performance figures have surfaced, but that hasn’t stopped some speculating a 0-100 km/h sprint time of less than two seconds!

Ex-Formula 1 driver and current Formula-E racer, Nick Heidfeld plays a key role with in the Pininfarina team as he will help develop the car over starting early next year. The Pininfarina PF0 is said to go on sale in late 2020.

Dubicars has new and used cars for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.
