Salatuk now part of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Middle East and North Africa (MENA) kicked off the Holy Month of Ramadan with the introduction of a new application to the InControl Suite catering towards the Muslim population.

The popular prayers app, Salatuk is now available to download (first made available at the beginning of the Holy Month) for Android users via the Play Store and on Apple devices via the App Store.

Developed by Masarat App, a Moroccan mobile app development agency, Salatuk is one of the most prolific Muslim prayer applications in the MENA boasting over 30 million downloads. Having won numerous awards including a Mobily Award in 2013, the application uses a unique algorithm which supports a multitude of calculations used by most Muslim countries across the globe. Depending on the user’s location, the app uses the appropriate calculation method and Fiqhi school.

JLR’s InControl hub of services allows customers to access smartphone apps via their smartphone which can be controlled via the vehicle’s centre console touchscreen when plugged in via USB. Once connected, the InControl system mirrors the application as if it were on the smartphone.

InControl currently supports a wide range of applications ranging from Music Players, Calendar and Contacts with more and more third-party apps being constantly added.

Dubicars.com has new Land Rover and used Land Rover for sale in Dubai, Ajman, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
