Tesla launches two vehicles in the UAE

As of today, you can pre-order your very own all-electric vehicle from the North American brand with the first deliveries to take place during the summer of 2017.

Tesla Model S cars start at AED 275,000 whereas Model X’s start from AED 344,000. Range-topping Model S P100D versions which are renowned for their ludicrous modes are priced at AED 544,000.

P100D models are capable of driving 632 km on a single charge. Top speeds exceed 275 km/h, and with ludicrous mode enabled, 0-100 km/h is attainable in just 2.7 seconds! Surpassing Ferrari’s, Lamborghini’s, McLaren’s and Corvette’s with ease.

As for the Model X, that will come standard with 565 km of range on a single charge, all-wheel drive and a 0-100 sprint time of 3.1 seconds while transporting your family of seven.

What about charging I hear you asking yourself? Tesla has already installed Supercharger networks at the Last Exit in Jebel Ali and in Masdar City allowing for “lightning” quick charges with more to be installed in the coming months.

This includes popular destinations such as shopping malls and hotels.

For those of you who are out and about, you may have spotted electric charging stations already popping up. Silicon Oasis has two and DEWA in Jumeirah has a few. There are also an estimated 20 odd others scattered around.

Dubai’s Tesla “shop” is currently being built on Shaikh Zayed Road near interchange two. This location will serve as a one-stop destination for customers and potential buyers to learn about Tesla and the benefits of owning one.

Abu Dhabi residents will also benefit from a similar structure that is scheduled to be built by next year.

Until these models officially launch across the UAE, we’ve got thousands of vehicles of new and used cars for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi to keep you entertained until then.
