Key to the Vantage’s timeless appeal has been its simplicity. The profile is constructed with clean, precise lines that perfectly intersect where they cause the least visual clutter, proportions are millimetre perfect, whichever angle you view the car from, while details such as the distinctive tailgate spoiler and front wing air vents are effortlessly integrated into the design.
Equipped with a thunderous 6.0L V12 engine, the vantage produces 510 bhp & 570Nm of torque & on this model with the 6-speed manual transmission gives you maximum control and a driving sensation like no other Aston of its generation. The chassis balance is exceptional with such a short wheelbase, thanks to heady control weights that communicate purpose and a V12 with so much torque, once you have freed the car and put it in Sport (sharper throttle and exhaust baffles open from the word go, rather than only above 4,000rpm) it becomes a wonderfully controllable and confidence-inspiring car, largely due to having a proper hydraulic steering rack.
