Summary

This 2013 Nissan Altima SV is a testament to the model's reputation for long-term durability in the GCC, having reliably served its purpose over 345,000 km of regional highway driving. Finished in White—the most practical and high-resale color for the Middle East—it remains a smart choice for buyers seeking a comfortable commuter that manages heat exceptionally well. The SV trim provides significant upgrades over the base model, including alloy wheels and improved cabin tech, making it a better daily companion than entry-level rivals. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a cooling system and air conditioning specifically designed to handle extreme summer temperatures without strain. For a budget-conscious buyer, this Altima offers a proven mechanical track record and parts availability that few other sedans in the segment can match.

This Car vs Other 2013 Altimas

While the mileage is higher than the average for its year, it reflects the typical high-utilization pattern of GCC highway commuters, where engines are kept at stable operating temperatures for long durations. The white exterior is the optimal choice for local resale value, as it reflects heat better than darker tones and remains the most sought-after color in the pre-owned market. This vehicle has clearly been a consistent performer across the Emirates, proving the durability of the Altima's 2.5-liter powertrain.

SV vs Lower Trims

The SV trim is widely considered the 'sweet spot' for GCC buyers, adding essential comforts that the base S trim lacks. It features 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, a rearview camera for easier parking, and a 5-inch color display for the audio system. Most importantly for the local climate, the SV includes dual-zone automatic climate control, allowing the driver and passenger to set individual cooling levels during the summer months.

Altima vs Segment Rivals

The Altima leads competitors like the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord in highway fuel efficiency, utilizing its Xtronic CVT to maintain lower RPMs at cruising speeds. It also features Nissan's 'Zero Gravity' seats, which were specifically designed to reduce fatigue during the long-distance cross-border or inter-emirate drives common in the region. The interior volume is competitive, offering more front legroom than many European-spec alternatives in the same year.

Running Costs & Resale

With a combined fuel consumption of approximately 6.3 L/100km, the Altima is one of the most economical mid-sized sedans for daily use in GCC traffic. Maintenance is straightforward, with minor service intervals recommended every 10,000 km at any of the numerous authorized Nissan service centers found throughout the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. The Altima maintains strong value retention in the local market due to the high demand for reliable, fuel-efficient Japanese sedans that are cheap to repair.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 182 hp, this sedan is optimized for smooth, efficient highway cruising rather than aggressive acceleration. It achieves a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 8.0 seconds, which is perfectly adequate for merging into fast-moving highway traffic. The steering is tuned for ease of use in city environments, while the aerodynamic design helps maintain stability and reduce wind noise during long desert drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five passengers with a focus on long-distance comfort, featuring soft-touch materials and high-quality cloth upholstery that stays cool in the sun. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated cooling vents, a vital feature for ensuring comfort for all occupants during the peak of summer. The SV trim's leather-wrapped steering wheel and remote engine start—allowing you to cool the cabin before entering—significantly enhance the daily ownership experience in a hot climate.

Safety

This Altima SV comes standard with a comprehensive safety suite, including six airbags (front, side-impact, and curtain) to protect all five occupants. It features Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist, which are particularly helpful during sudden stops on high-speed highways. The inclusion of a rearview camera and Tire Pressure Monitoring with 'Easy-Fill' alert adds an extra layer of convenience and safety for daily GCC driving.

The bottom line

This Altima is a durable, GCC-spec workhorse perfect for a buyer who prioritizes low running costs and a reliable air conditioning system over low mileage.
